  1. We are super lucky. My daughter goes to a sleep away camp where the food services director is also a Celiac. They were great last year. He sent us the meal plan and I sent up a box of supplies for the week. He was knowledgeable about cross contamination and had things set aside for just preparing her meals, all either new or cleaned special. He emptied one...
  2. I was diagnosed 2 years ago and began a gluten free diet. My 2 youngest, who had symtpoms, were also started gluten-free but my 13 year old was not showing any symptoms and his bloodwork came back normal but at the high end of normal. He is now almost 15 and we had a very bad year with school this year. I was wondering if anyone else experiences these symtpoms...
  3. I was looking for the same thing and came across some 4 inch round baking dishes, like little mini cake dishes and they are spring forms too. I got them in either Big Y or Shaws in the baking aisle. I have yet to try them but am thinking they will be good for the buns. I only got 2 but if they work good I will spring for a couple more to make more than 2...
  4. I am kind of in the same boat. My only positive was reticulin anitbody but the lab result did not say if it was reticulin IgA or IgG. Unfortunately I asked specifically for a total IgA and somehow it got left out so I do not know yet if I am IgA deficient. I am hoping someone responds to this question as I too am curious to know the answer. From what...
  5. I found a product at Walmart today and it's called seasoned fish fry from Louisiana Fish Fry Products. The ingredients are: Corn meal, Corn flour, salt, monosodium glutamate, spices, citric acid, garlic, paprika and tri-calcium phosphate. It appears safe based on the ingredient list. I was wondering if it is spicy. I tend to view anything with Louisiana...
  6. Well with my son it was not an excessive amount, he was very sensitive to it and it only took 4 ounces of apple juice and he had it. He couldn't have anything with apples for a while. We switched him to the pear juice and he was fine but never had excessive amounts, he would get a total of 16 ounces if that, he has always preferred water or milk. Well...
  7. Hi Stephanie. I am so glad that the first kiddo is Chrohn's negative. I am hoping you have good news with the other two also. I am a mom of 3 who is just now starting down this same path and it is very scary, at times frustrating and so much anxiety over the unknown. I am sorry you got upset with the "at least you know" comment. I do not think it was meant...
  8. We adopted Baxter 2 years ago. He was a rescue from a shelter and he was approx 1 years old. He is a border collie mix. When we adopted him he was pretty underwieght but being a stray we just figured he was malnourished. Well he had 4 - 5 stankin' puddles of poop per day. You just can't scoop puddles !! At first we thought it was just nerves.....new home...
  9. Actually toddler diarrhea is a real condition caused by too much I believe sorbitol. My oldest had this and we had to remove apple juice and give pear juice instead. There were some other things we had to eliminate too but it was 11 years ago now and I do not exactly remember but the diarrhea was so acidic it would actually scald the skin even if you changed...

  11. I have 1 border collie who I highly suspect is gluten intolerant and another whom I suspect has some form of grain allergy. He could not seem to digest any form of kibble and I tried several brands of high quality (The wellness, evo, natural balance etc ) He would still have 4 - 5 puddles a day and the smell. not to mention the gas. He reminded me of Pig...
  12. I am going to the doctor next week to ask to be tested for Celiac Disease. I have been complaining about fatigue and joint pain for many years. Diagnosed as hypothyroid and have been on thyroid replacement for 6 years. I had problems with infertility, pervious IBS symptoms which have returned and worsened, migraines which haver also returned and worsened...
