  1. Thanks for that it is really helpful. I feel my story is similar to Welda's as despite advances I have been unable to get medical diagnosis and found out much of my problems myself. My asthma and rhinitus started when I was 16 or at least were diagnosed then, but I had lots of health problems as a child too. I have found a few helpful health professionals...
  2. I wanted to post in case any one else has similar symptoms. I have facial swellings which have improved slowly with a low gluten and then coeliac diet. After finding about iodine and DH on this website I stopped using my sea water nose spray and after this the swellings cleared up completely. I am now 90% sure they are an unusual variation or pehaps...
  3. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  4. Is it common practice to get genetic tests done in the US. It is not ever offered in the UK?
  5. Yes I spent some time considering Lupus. I have had the ANA test and it was negative. I am not sensitive to the sun. I have had the rash about 9 years and there has been no sign of organ damage. The rash does seem to be responding to a coeliac diet but when I just went very low gluten (everything except for traces) the rash continued. I definitely...
  6. Thanks I am not looking forward to going back because they discount me quite a bit butit looks like it is the best idea.
  7. Hi I am new to the site. I have been gluten free since last spring but accidently had gluten in November. I need to ask if people think my facial rash/swellings sounds like DH. I get a swollen red rash on my face (normally cheeks and nose) the point at which it starts sometimes blisters. As it goes down the skin peels off - it normally lasts 5 days...
  8. I went onto a completely coeliac diet (I have not managed to get a diagnosis but it definitely helps) in April and have only had one accident with gluten since. I have now had 4 incidents of night sweats and aching legs. I didnt think much of it until the fourth one as there are lots of viruses around but now I am wondering if it is hormonal and as I am...
  9. sorry I have posted twice may take me awhile to get the hang of this. Meant to say have asthma and rhinitus but also many other sensitivites and intolerences.
  10. I have just found this site as I was searching for sites discussing links between celiac and asthma/rhinitus. I have had symptoms of celiac and DH for about 9 years and have found out mainly through my own work and despite a negative celiac biopsy (my dietician said she thought it a false negative as only ate gluten 2 weeks before, they took biopsy from...
