About Me

I've been off gluten since February 2009; my blood work indicates a genetic propensity toward Celiac; my biopsy results were normal but taken after 3 months with no gluten. I'm going to college in a small town with few gluten-free options, but I'm working on waking Publix up to the wonders of Food For Life brown rice tortillas.

  1. When I was eating gluten, I used to get regular cravings for pizza. Most people I've talked to crave pizza very regularly, like weekly...which is kind of strange if you think about it. And it's used often to entice people to events they don't really want to go to on college campuses because people just cannot resist pizza opportunities. I thought it was interesting...

  9. I called the pharmacist today and I think the culprit in this case might be the temperature I've stored the pills at. I live in Florida; it's summer, and we don't run the AC. It's probably 95 degrees where my pills are and they're the chewable kind, and apparently they lose effectiveness after sitting over a month above room temperature. I don't know why...
