  1. Is leaky gut what it actually sounds like? Can it be diarrhea and constipation? Ive been gluten free for almost 3 weeks now. I used to go to the bathroom a lot. like 3-4 times a day (not diarrhea tho, always a regular bowel) and always gassy. My first couple days on gluten-free diet, my bowels had changed and it was down to 1 or 2 with very easy bowels and barely any gas. The past week Ive been up and down with 2 or 3. One day was 1 which was surprising. The past 2 to 3 days tho Ive had some crampiness in my stomach. And today a little more gassier than the last 2 weeks. Is it leaky gut, or am I healing? or did I eat gluten by accident? I have been as careful as I can be...even calling companies about the "natural flavor" in things. Any thoughts? Should I see my doctor?

  2. I am just wondering if Bulimia and celiac are related. I was bulimic for 6 1/2 years. I stopped about I think 2 maybe 3 years ago. Could I have given myself celiac? I always wondered what damage I had done to my body. This is probably something I should ask my doctor I know...but just wondering if anyone knows anything about this? No one in my fam has celiac...so I was thinking about it. Thanks :)

  3. I am new, and have only been almost 2 weeks on a gluten-free lifestyle. A couple questions....I never had any type of reaction to dairy...do I need to take it out of my diet anyway just to start? Can I have soy? How will I know if I cant? Soy lecithin? What is up with the caramel coloring? what is in it that we cant have? And gaur gum, I looked at a website that says celiacs should not have it, but its in a gluten free flour that I got! Guar gum is in ice cream, does this mean I cant have ice cream?! HELP!

  4. I know I may sound silly. And I am even very new. But, I was wondering if we should trust restaurants. I went out last night and there was a place that served gluten free pizza and gluten free pasta. My husband got the pasta so we could share and I got pizza. Could I have been glutened? I dont think im feeling any side effects today but...should we trust that they really understand and are very careful? Also Im not too sensitive either, I really just get tired...oh what do I know, that can mean im sensitive!...

  5. Hey everyone, I am new on here. My name is Nicole, I'm 25 and I just was diagnosed with celiac just over a week ago(with a blood test and biopsy so confirm) So let me tell you the scoop on my background. My symptoms were, being tired all the time and joint aches, and going to the bathroom a lot(but not ever diarrhea...it was always a normal bowel I just went like 3-4 times a day sometimes) Also, I didnt lose a substantial amount of weight. Actually I was just married 3 months ago...and I had gained some weight in the summer and before the wedding lost about 5 lbs. So thats it. I started my gluten free diet and now have lots of energy! Will I gain a ton of weight? My doctor said since Im very normal for my height 5'3, 122lbs I probably wont because I didnt lose much. But is he right? I see a lot of people gain weight...are they eating bad? Ive always eaten well. I eat tons of fruits and veggies and lean meat. Of course Ill have chocolate sometimes too but overall my diet seems well-balanced. Thanks for listening!
