  1. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  2. I love your avatar! :)

  3. Thanks for the recipe. It sounds yummy. I'm planning to make them tonight.
  4. Puffins Peanut Butter cereal gave me D immediately after eating it. I tried it a few times because I really liked it and wanted to be sure it was the cereal - and it was. Bummer. I'd stay away from it.
  5. I would also love to know which food you cut out due to the amnio acid. Canker sores were never a problem prior to going gluten free a month ago, but I noticed that I am getting small ones now as well as chapped lips. As far as the acne, have you tried cutting out dairy? I've been waiting to "grow out of the acne thing" (I'm 43), but once I cut out...
  6. Reading the posts, especially about this topic, leaves me just amazed. I mean jaw dropping amazed. I have many of these same symptoms. I just went off gluten three weeks ago today. I unfortunately ate Ezekiel bread a few days ago, but other than that I've been pretty diligent. I would have previously questioned that it's the gluten causing these symptoms...
  7. OK - I'm over it... Maybe I should change my username to "too sensitive". Can I blame the gluten in the Ezekiel bread? That's it - I was glutened! Well, I'm learning - the bread didn't create a digestive problem, but now I realize that just because it didn't cause me to run to the bathroom, doesn't mean it didn't do damage to my body in some way. I...
  8. Oh David - I already saw that website. Do you really think there's human dung in their bread? Give me a break... I'm very new at this (3 weeks this Wednesday) and was just trying to figure it all out. I'm testing the waters, so to speak, because there are a few members of my family with celiac and alot of allergies and food intolerances also. I have...
  9. That's funny - I'm eating the Enjoy Life new and improved... Very Berry Crunch while I was reading this. It's pretty good. Doesn't seem too hard, though I didn't try the previous version of it. Very high in carbs though... S.
  10. Yes - I just went gluten free a few weeks ago and thought - well I better stock up on rice cakes - NOPE! I noticed it contained wheat. Oh well... UGH. S.
  11. Thanks for the link! I've been feeling like I'm on a treasure hunt wandering aimlessly through the supermarket... S.
  12. Thanks for the responses. So far I have a slight stomache ache and head ache, but it could be because I'm worried...but it tasted soooo goood. S.
  13. OK - I can't be the first to ask this question...but I'm nervous. I was told that my uncle, who has had Celiac for a long time now - eats Ezekiel's Sprouted Grain bread. I was told it's because its the sprouted grain and not the flour..??? I didn't understand why we can, but I was so excited that I just got some and had the best tuna sandwich in a while...
  14. I've only been gluten free for a week and a half. I'm having problems with C too. I did notice that I have a stomach ache after eating corn (tortillas). It's happened twice now in the last few days and very bloated after eating broccoli (I guess that goes with the territory), but the fiber from the broccoli isn't helping with the C either. I like the...
  15. I've only been gluten-free for a week today, but my sister has been gluten-free for a few months now. She also has/had hypoglycemia since she was young (she's now 49) and says she has never felt better. Since going gluten-free, she says it's like living in a new body. Lots of energy! Are you eating protein with every meal? I know it was always a...
  16. Thank you so much for the comments. I wasn't planning a strenuous detox (I did that a few years ago and will NEVER do that again - Ouch!). I'm going to look for the herbs you mentioned - you gave me exactly what I was looking for. Today makes a full week eating gluten free and I can say I feel a little better. The bloating and stomach aches are not...
  17. Did anybody do a detox at the start of this and do you think it would be beneficial to the system? I'm new at this and would love to hear your experience... Thanks. Sandi
  18. Well, I've been gluten-free (hopefully) since last Wednesday, March 11, 2009. I'm trying the diet since alot of my family members have celiac and/or food allergies and I seem to have the symptoms. My doctor stated a couple of weeks ago that he thinks I have fibromyalgia or possibly heart disease. I asked if I could test for celiac and he asked me if I...
