  3. now that I am taking vitamin D. Having read all of the people that had a low D, I took it upon myself to have my doctor check my Vitamin D level. Guess what??? It was really low like a lot of other people on here. It makes perfect sense since our GI tracts have been compromised by that terrible gluten. I am also taking Magnesium, Calcium and a B-12 supplement...
  4. We will all pray for you that the doctors will finally have the wisdome to heal you body. I was sick for 16-18 years before I was diagnosed. You are deffently taking the correct steps. Many times, doctors are just to overwhelmed themselves to spend the time to really listen to their patients needs.

  6. I was just tested last week and was found to have a low D as well. My doc prescribed 50000 iu of D once per week for 12 weeks, then a retest. I forgot to check with the pharmacy if the script was gluten free!!
  7. As many on here, I was misdiagnosed with Celiac
  8. My doctor checked me for Vit. D and mine was low too. He is giving me 50000IU of D once per week for 12 weeks and then check it again. If you have Celiac's and your D is really low, the 2000 IU may not be enough as we (Celiac's) have issues absorbing.

  10. Hi, I just started a new med and my ALT liver function is 65. The normal range is 10-35. Has anyone else had a high ALT value. What do you do to lower the value? Thanks, Bosque
  11. Hi all, I am new to the forum. Was diagnosed 18 months ago after having Celiac's for 20 years. Just started reading on here about vitamin D deficiencies and while at the docs last week, I had him give me the test. I too have a vitamin D deficiency. Here are my numbers: D2 3.1, D3 16.3, D19.4. He prescribed 50,000 IU once per week. Has anyone taken...
