  1. sorry mushroom, i realize that it is completely unhealthy and i do not advocate that lifestyle in any way. just trying to make the point that yes, eating disorders are really darned and the person who has one has a very skewed thought process. adding gluten intolerance in the mix really exacerbates this terrible process and makes the afflicted person go to...
  2. i recently applied to all sorts of places for job opportunities and the only one i had any luck with is panera. i was hired three weeks ago, and just found out that i am sensitive to gluten. of course, i dont have to consume any of the glutenous foods, but i am constantly exposed to breads in the cafe as well as doughs and flour spores in the air all the...
  3. i have a very similar experience. in fact, i created a post about this same issue a few days ago. just found out im gluten intolerant and am also "recovering" from anorexia. though your right, the thoughts never leave you and i must admit i do not want to get better if it means gaining weight. gluten makes it all so much worse, and i cannot make the bloating...
  4. both plain, organic nuts and the butters cause problems for me. perhaps you might be right in that it may be an intestinal overgrowth or something of the sort, but i dont typically have problems with other proteins like egg, or anything.

  7. i noticed that when i had a strawberry slim fast in the morning, i became extremely gassey and bloated. now, it might be coincidence, but those symptoms are usually my main problems when it comes to consuming gluten. i would be careful.
  8. im in my second year of college now and i still live on campus, which means, i have to eat school cafeteria food which is not too catering to my needs. its definitely hard to stick with a gluten free diet because and i do slip up very often. i dont think i have made it a week being completely gluten free. i am desperate to get my own apartment so i can moniter...
  9. hi im new to the board, i hope this post is in the right place and is not innapropriate in any way. well, to provide a bit of background, i should mention that i am probably not one of the severely afflicted gluten intolerant sufferers, but my major symptom is extreme bloating and abdominal swelling. i didnt realize that i was gluten intolerant until fairly...
