About Me

Diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome about six years ago. A lot of symptoms similar to celiac. Just here to learn and look for answers.

  1. I don't know about the genetic test (still learning myself) but if you weren't eating gluten before the blood tests or endoscopy that would make the tests negative regardless of if you have celiac or not.
  2. Thanks. Yeah, I'm in kind of a tough spot. Wish I would have found out about a month ago, when I first found this site...I could have just gotten the test done. At any rate, I'm glad I at least know it wasn't done. And the only reason I found out is because I got copies of my labs(to compare with others on this site) and found the celiac panel was...
  3. If I remember right, the panel was ordered a year or two ago. And because I never heard anything I assumed it was negative... and because the doctor was testing for other things (and has been testing for other things since then). so my question for you guys is this: I've been following the gluten-free diet for about two weeks now... well, maybe a month...

Then my doctor dropped it down to once a week. And now every other week. The main difference I noticed with my vitamin D back up was reduced joint...

I'm actually hoping it's Celia. Sure it would be hard to follow the diet,...
  6. Hello all. I'm trying to figure some things out. I had an endoscopy a few years ago. The doctor wasn't looking for celiac. I didn't even know about celiac back then; I'm just now learning. So anyway, he did it because I had(and still have) CFS, and because I also had a lot of gastrointestinal issues. The results came back pretty much normal, but the...
