  1. I'm confused...wouldn't the same reaction happen if you had any type of contact dermatitis? Why would this be specific for DH?
  2. Thanks everyone...that puts my mind at ease. It's nice to know that I'm not alone. I'm feeling better...I would say about 75% better...and my hope is that I wake up tomorrow and the "crazies" are gone!
  3. I'm still really new to this gluten free lifestyle so I need some help. Does anyone feel anxious after eating gluten? I
  4. My physician indicated that if I have celiac disease then my immediate family should be tested. I know that different physicinas have different opinions; however, I just wanted to let you know what mine said.
  5. I stopped taking the vitamins and the diarrhea stopped. I'm running in a half-marathon on Sunday, so I'm going to wait until after that to try the vitamins again. I'm starting to think that I might not need as much vitamin support anymore...that is very exciting to me.
  6. I too believe that there is a connection. Since going gluten-free my asthma and allergies have been significantly better. Even on asthma medications I never really felt better, but now I feel like a new woman
  7. I had a baby a little over a year ago and nursed her until about a month ago, so I have been taking the same prenatal vitamin (Walgreen
  8. I get that same reaction to some, but not all cheese. So I am trying to figure it out as well. I think I have it narrowed down to gluten or MSG. I know that some cheese contains gluten to help it from sticking together. I also know that some cheese contains MSG. In addition to the drunk feeling I also get some sort of a rash (not sure if it is allergy...
  9. My blood resluts were: TTG IgG was 2; TTG IgA was 2; and Gliadin IgA was 0. However, I had been gluten-free for over a month when the doctor did the test. He put me back on gluten for 10 days and did an endoscopy...that was negative as well, but I've been told that he should have had me back on gluten longer than 10 days. As a side note, I was diagnosed...
  10. I've been trying to find out if I have celiac disease or not. I've been to a couple doctors and haven't had a positive diagnosis. I have a lot of the symptoms and seem to respond well to a gluten-free diet; however, I have occasional flare-ups of symptoms so now I'm starting to wonder if it is really celiac disease or something else causing the problem...
  11. I am so frustrated right now. I know what I feel like when I eat gluten and I know what I feel like when I don
  12. I know this post is a little old, but I thought I would through out my two-cents. I was diagnosed with VV in 2000. I tried everything with only mild relief for short periods of time. Recently my Husband and I started using Natural Family Planning to help improve our spiritual life
  13. If I have Celiac, does it really matter if I get diagnosed with DH? I'm trying to figure out if I really need to make an appointment with the dermatologist. I mean, Celiac is Celiac whether or not it is in your skin or your gut, so why get another diagnosis?
  14. This has never happened to me before. In fact, I've never had a bruise this large before. It has even grown since this morning and it is beginning to turn more pink/red than it was before. I called my doctor's office, but I haven't heard anything back yet...but you know how that goes...hopefully I hear back from them before 5.
  15. I just had an endoscopy on Wednesday and the nurse gave me a big bruise when she put in my IV. That wasn
  16. Thanks!!! I think I needed someone else to tell me not to be so hard on myself. It is really hard when you can't do something that you once could. Thanks again...take care and God Bless!
  17. I forgot to add that last week I could run 6 miles and now I can hardly run 1...
  18. I'm currently training for my first half-marathon...I'm really excited about it, but my doctor is having me eat gluten for my endo (which I'm having on Wednesday). I had been gluten-free for several weeks and feeling really good! Now I've been back on gluten for a little over a week and feel like my old self again...tired, bad allargies (with sore throat...
