  1. My son was diagnosed right after his 3 yo checkup. He was taking extremely long naps like yours, and always seemed tired. We carried him a lot, used the stroller, etc. We could tell something wasn't quite right, and so could his pediatrician. After being on the gluten-free diet for a month, he dropped his nap quite suddenly. While it could have been...
  2. My 3 yo is at the 5% for height and weight (36 inches in height now). Both my husband and I are short, so the doctor thinks he may not be below his normal curve, but I do still hope he grows more. He didn't grow at all between ages 2 and 3 though, which is how he was diagnosed. For perspective, his older sister will be 6 next month and is similar to...
  3. Our son's number was over 100 when diagnosed. Recently came back at 3. The doctor was thrilled, as were we.
  4. My 3 yo son was the same way. We have not made our kitchen totally gluten free, and his latest blood test shows he is completely free of gluten. We keep a cabinet with his gluten-free foods and snacks in it. We have special gluten-free containers of cream cheese, butter and peanut butter that we mark are just for him. We have an area of the freezer set...

  6. I have a 3 yo and I wish I could find these too. I give him the Glutino crackers and the animal crackers instead.
  7. My 3 yo was just diagnosed a few weeks ago too. I've been making really basic pizza for my kids using a taco-sized corn tortilla, tomato sauce, cheese and pepperoni. Bakes in 5 minutes, so its a fast dinner. Both the kids actually like it, even my picky older one.
  8. Hi all - this is my first post. My son was recently diagnosed and we have set up the diet at home for him - so far, so good. Luckily he's not too picky. Whole Foods is my friend. He starts 1/2 day preschool in a few weeks, and the teachers want to be helpful, but they obviously need my guidance. I have purchased some gluten-free playdoh for the classroom...
