  1. Del, I have no suggestions to add; it sounds like others have had good ideas to offer. I just wanted to say that you will be in my prayers also. And positive thoughts are coming your way for a much better than expected out come for you and your husband. Hugs to you both.

    ARCHIVED Glutened

This is extremely frustrating to me too: I don't really like to cook or bake, but I'm discovering quick easy things to make (on my days off or whenever I can fit it in) and freeze individually for a quick meal or snack later. Most often I make a batch or two of pancakes (I like Pamela's gluten-free mix) and put the extras on a cooling rack in the freezer...
  3. Thank you both for the info! It gives me a good amount to work with for our trip! TrillumHunter, I talked to my mom and she confirmed that the restaurant we went to on our last visist was Seasons. I highly recommend your husband takes you there!
  4. Awesome, thanks! I appreciate anything you can share.
  5. My parents live in Loudon, TN, near Knoxville and I'll be going to visit them next month. I've only been there one other time since I started eating gluten-free, and that was when I just started. We found one restaurant in the area that had a wonderful gluten-free menu (not sure of the name, Season's maybe?). Does anyone have other suggestions? My mom...
  6. Thank you so much for this post! I have been trying to eat gluten free for about 6 months. This part touched me especially: I get SO frustrated, often to the point of tears at times, when I'm glutened. And for a long time I was in denial that I was as sensitive as I am to gluten, cc, etc. I've only been able to go a couple weeks at a time without...
  7. Not being able to eat out at very many places has been one of the most difficult changes for me. I really miss my weekly lunch with friends and I'm thinking I will start eating before hand and go and just get something safe like a coke. For those of you who wrote about bringing your own food to restuarants . . . I never thought about doing this and have...
  8. Hello, I haven't been there since I went gluten free, but I've heard there are some gluten free food options there. There is some information on their website Open Original Shared Link. It doesn't look like a whole lot of options, but depending on what you like, it might get you by, especially if you bring a few snacks of your own. Have fun if you go...
  9. Thanks for starting this thread! I'm still adapting to eating gluten free, and I thought reading labels had pretty much become a habit, but I have never thought about checking the ingredients on bags of nuts! I'm glad I found this site, it's been very helpful!
