  1. Thank you so much for your suggestions. I will definitely look into all of this - it will help me feel like I'm doing something instead of sitting around waiting for the next bomb to drop and hopefully may solve some of these issues at the same time. Thanks for the hope!
  2. At 40, my lifetime GP retired. My new doctor checked my history and had me tested almost immediately. I think he has celiac disease and so has a vested interest in learning about the disease. What kills me are the Drs in emergency (presumably they are supposed to have the most current medical info?) and paramedics who know nothing about it. I think...
  3. No offense taken - I totally understand why you would ask. I do check anything I ingest but am still amazed how many pharmacists don't know if their perscriptions are gluten free or not. Thanks also for your hope that things improve soon - I've got my fingers crossed that my appointment tomorrow will be good news for a change.
  4. Thanks very much for the advice. Re-reading my post, I am clearly suffering mostly from a case of feeling sorry for myself and I know there are many out there much worse off than I am. 5. I'm new to this forum, but see there is a world of personal experience out there. I hope someone can help. I am 3 and a half years post celiac disease diagnosis and on a gluten-free diet. In that time, I have actually experienced moments when I could say I felt good; something I had not felt in over 20 years. My worst symptoms (feeling like I had food...
  6. I've had terrible sinusitus many times - even post diagnosis and on a gluten-free diet. The last time, it affected all my sinuses on my left side. I was also treated with prednisone to reduce the inflamation so the sinuses could clear. If you are severely blocked, I was told the antibiotics may not be able to permeate all the infected areas, causing a...
  7. I only started feeling hip pain 3 years post celiac disease diagnosis, but that led to a diagnosis of osteoporosis at 43. My doctor says that it is a result of malabsorption for the first 40 years. While you may only have experienced symptoms for 6 years, the damage may have been happening your entire life. It might be worth looking into as there are ways...
