I actually had quite a discussion with the customer service reps at Bare Minerals 2 days ago. Apparently, they have re-formulated some of their products to now contain wheat ingredients. They do offer a list of products that are not made with wheat, barley, rye or oat ingredients, but Bare Escentuals places the disclaimer that they are all made in the same...

O.k. have been gluten free on an elimination diet for almost 8 weeks. The dr. decided to do an anitbody test anyway, even though I told him I wasn't going to eat gluten again just for the test. Obviously, the blood work came back negative. He has "clinically" diagnosed me because he said I had many of the symptoms, but medically it's not in my record....

I called and found out that Newman's own spaghetti sauce is gluten-free, as is Barillo's jarred sauce. Something else in Barillo's upset my stomach, though, so I'm going to try the Newman's next.

I finally got a hold of someone at L'Oreal -- their Excellence to Go 10 minute hair coloring is gluten-free, as is their new shampoo, Everpure. I also found out that ALL Clairol products do contain gluten, icluding Herbal Essences and Head and Shoulders. Actually I did have a little reaction, but when looking back on what I did wrong. My husband, trying to be helpful, cooked my spaghetti in the same pan that he made his w/o really washing the pan. Boy did I get itchy within an hour and gas again. Yikes. I really have to say that 5 days into this I feel fantastic. I haven't felt this good in 17 years...
