  1. I think my biggest gluten-ing symptom falls somewhere between this "out of body" sensation and brain fog. It is like I cannot control my normal functions. It was the worst when I started work this fall and would go to business meetings and nearly FALL ASLEEP or barely form coherent sentences (at least that's what it felt like to me!) So far on gluten-free...

    ARCHIVED Olive Garden

I tried it yesterday (my first experience with gluten-free pasta) and finished the whole bowl! It was terrific...especially because I wanted to try all my family's delicious looking meals around me. But mine was really good!
  3. Open Original Shared Link Positive serologic tests in the presence of a normal biopsy This situation occasionally arises. The presence of a positive EMA with a normal biopsy indicates either the presence of celiac disease that was not detected in the biopsy, either because of too few pieces being taken or misinterpretation. The biopsy should be reviewed...
  4. I also had positive bloodwork (ttg-iga) with a negative biopsy. One thing I've learned over the past few months is that most doctors don't know much about gluten sensitivity. I've had many of the same symptoms as you. I felt better IMMEDIATELY once I went gluten-free 2 weeks ago. The thing is, now when I do run into gluten I'm finding more adverse reactions...
  5. Thank you for posting this! I was so lost until finding this board and this post helps me out even more... I have mostly neuro symptoms (brain fog, depression, anxiety, etc) with less GI symptoms. My ttg-iga tested positive, but my endo came back negative. All the doctor said was my results were "normal" with NO EXPLANATION of what my symptoms could...
  6. Doctor says the endoscopy biopsy results are "normal". Actually, that's what the GI doctor's secretary told me after I called multiple times to get my results this week! So in a way this is comforting to me. However, it still doesn't help me explain the symptoms I've been having for at least 6 months... irregular BM's, depression, brain fog, lethargy...
  7. Funny you say that...I had a toasted everything bagel with honey pecan cream cheese this morning at Au Bon Pain! Yes, I feel awful right now but I have 1 week left of gluten. I've been eating SO much bread/pasta/desserts lately in anticipation of going gluten-free after my business trip. It's definitely been having adverse effects on me though. I have...
  8. So everything went very smoothly (especially the fun sleepy meds!) I got a report from the doc with photos that said everything looked "normal" through the camera. He did take biopsies, and I have to call for the results next Tuesday. Haven't gone gluten-free yet. I'm going away on a business trip next week and will be eating out for EVERY meal, so...
  9. Sounds just like me! I have the same exact symptoms as you. My TTG IgA test came back weak positive, but doc says that my bloodwork isn't really abnormal. Also, endoscopy showed no visible damage, but I'm still waiting for biopsy results. I should have them by next tuesday. I'm going gluten-free after my business trip next week, regardless of my results...
  10. Thanks for all the generous replies everyone! It's definitely easing my mind to hear that it's really not a big deal. I'm still just a little scared but I did check and at least I'll be allowed to have my morning joe! (Clear liquids until 12 pm for me). Thank the lord, I can't function without some caffeine, especially with my chronic fatigue. I actually...
  11. So I'm finally going for my endoscopy this Tuesday. I can't wait to find out if there actually is something wrong with me! My GI doc said bloodwork was pretty normal, even though one antibody tested "weak positive". Go figure... Wish me luck! I've already decided I'm going gluten-free even if results come back normal. I can't take the mindfog, fatigue...
  12. Sounds like we're on the same track, chilligirl! I also got blood tested for celiac recently and came back positive. I was all ready to go gluten-free right away but thank god I came here and read that it would cause problems with my next set of testing. So, my appointment is all set for Nov. 24th. I almost cried when they said there was nothing...
  13. Hi All, I'm new (obviously) and so glad to find this board. I went to a GP last week for a check up, but also told her about my fairly recent symptoms (since this summer): Gas Constant abdominal bloating Extremely distended, hard stomach (used to be flat!) Major fatigue, even after a full night of sleep Frequent constipation Depression & anxiety...
