  1. How should I balance my diet? I'm trying to avoid any possible intolerances until I get better. What do you recommend? I will do what you suggested when seeing the doctor, but I'll have to wait at least a month for anything from them. Any suggestions for while I'm sitting here at home?
  2. I can barely see a regular doctor with medicaid insurance, and even for that I have to wait a month. They'll probably retest my levels, so I won't get prescribed anything for at least a month and a half.
  3. I just found out right before I left college when I still had student insurance, and now I have Medicaid and the earliest they could schedule me was the 26th. I now have a psych appointment on the 20th as well. Should I try to buy testosterone replacement myself?
  4. I'm at about 5 and a half weeks gluten free. These have been the worst continuous days I've ever had. Insomnia, low energy, severe anxiety, severe depression, diarrhea, brain fog, mood swings. I barely have the motivation for my once or twice a day ten minute walk or bike ride. I mainly just sit at home and watch TV shows on my laptop when the anxiety isn...
  5. My diet consists of vegetables, fruits, meat, and nuts. It's hard to get any simpler. And I know it will get better, but I don't know when that will be. My grades are already crapping out at the end of this quarter, and I don't want to waste next quarter feeling terrible and absorbing close to no information. Would nightshades have an immediate effect...
  6. I started going completely gluten free a few weeks ago, and I have felt terrible ever since. My doctor has just prescribed Celexa and Klonopin. I'm not sure if I'll be taking the Celexa, but the Klonopin is relieving the anxiety, at the expense of the little energy I still had. I am a freshman in college, and at this point I can barely focus on or even...
  7. Go gluten free. How you feel will be the most reliable indicator. No cheating for at least two months, but you could feel better well before that. Nothing to lose.
  8. Are the bumps filled with a clear liquid? It's probably dermititis herpetiformis, which is very related to gluten intolerance. For patients with DH who start a gluten free diet, the rash can take up to two years to go away, but usually is gone much sooner. Keep up the gluten-free diet!
  9. I'm still staying gluten-free. And I still feel very crappy. I went to the doctor for the first time in a long time a few days ago. I asked if he would do a test for gluten sensitivity, and he said they don't do that unless there are more GI symptoms. He ended up ordering tests for TSH and electrolytes. And he gave me a prescription for Prozac. Great. I don...
  10. I'm 19 years old. I've had social anxiety for as long as I can remember. About five years ago, I started noticing HOCD (irrational fears about my sexuality). Depression has been around for a long time. Fatigue comes and goes. All of these are fairly mild, though. I'm a freshman in college at OSU, and can keep up with the work for the most part. I just don...
