  1. Anybody have a contact name or email for Open Original Shared Link? I'd like to get in touch with them. Thanks! Tom
  2. If you don't mind baking, try Gluten-Free Pantry's Favorite Sandwich Bread Mix Open Original Shared Link Best I've found so far. And the above comments about toasting are right on. Tom
  3. I'm not sure about the mercury or lead issue. As regulated as the tattoo industry is (in most states anyway) I kinda doubt it. Mercury and lead are on everyone's no-no list. Definitely talk to other customers before selecting a tattoo artist, and definitely talk to the artist about their inks, and more importantly their sterlization and ink reuse procedures...
  4. Thanks for the info! Where do you buy them? Tom
  5. Anyone have any good sources for gluten-free vitamins, minerals, and other dietary supplements? Tom
  6. One thing I should havve added about the sinus irrigator I mentioned - the pulsing action of the saltwater (you make your own, no need to purchase saline solution) helps to loosen the congestion better than just rinsing. Tom
  7. Here's the gluten-free alcohol list from Celiac.com: Open Original Shared Link Tom
  8. I came across something a couple of uyears ago that has helped my sinus problem a tremendous amount. Do a Google search for "sinus irrigator". Ther are several types available - The one I bougth is basically a Water-Pik with a special tip to better fit the nostril. The process involves rinsing your nose and sinus cavities with saline. I think it works...
  9. I'm going one step further, investigating brewing my own gluten-free beer. There is some info on the Internet. Should be fun! --Tom--
  10. My question would be that even though you have felt no reaction, was damage still being done to the intestinal track? Anybody know? Tom
  11. Any info on Scotch? I'm a big fan, and it doesn't seem to bother me, but I'm curious what the "official" word is. Thanks! Tom
  12. We really should not be recommending to anyone that they stop taking any prescription medications without first consulting with their physician. This could have very dire consequences, depending on the medical condition and the drug concerned. Tom
  13. Thanks for the feedback. I have printed the menu off their website and will take it with me next time. I think I'll also call the manager tomorrow if I get time. Could be that I just got a new (or maybe clueless) server. Take care! Tom
  14. We went to the local (kinda local - 70 miles away) Outback Steakhouse yesterday. I'm recently diagnosed and we haven't been going out much, so I was excited to hear that they have a gluten-free menu. Boy, was I disappointed! We were told they had NO such thing, and then the waitress went on her way without even asking if there was anything else she could...
  15. There's an article in the 2/15/05 issue of Annals of Internal Medicine on Celiac Disease. Here's the link to the PDF file: Open Original Shared Link Tha article is pretty clinical (OK, real clinical!) but good information. Tom in Klamath Falls
