  1. Hi! You're in luck as London is getting more and more celiac friendly by the year. Sainbury's, Tesco, Waitrose, and Marks and Spencer Food all have gluten free brands if you aim for the larger stores. Leon, La Tasca, Carluccio's, Wagamama's, and Pizza Express all offer gluten free choices but obviously that might not work with everything else you're avoiding...
  2. Thanks for your responses! I'm glad that it hasn't been a struggle for others. My biggest issues are that I'm allergic to both dairy and rice. Do you think that will be a problem for me or will I still be able to stick to meats and vegetables?
  3. I'm travelling to Lefkada this summer for two weeks. The place I'm staying in will have a kitchen but the group I'm travelling with will want to eat out and I was wondering what options were available for a celiac in Greece. I'll be near the village of Poros and it says there are tavernas there.. I was also wondering if someone who spoke Greek could help...
  4. Thanks for the suggestions! I'm leaving in two weeks so I'll definitely be spending lots of time in farmer's markets admiring the lovely produce. I'll be on the look out for corn pasta! I actually love polenta as well so that'll be a good option. I'm glad that some restaurants use corn instead of rice, at least. Do I just need to call and check what sort...
  5. I'm going on a trip to Rome, Florence, Milan, Paris, and London and was wondering if there were any suggestions? In addition to being a seriously sensitive celiac, I'm also allergic to rice, dairy, soy, apricots, bananas, almonds, chocolate, coffee, sweet potatoes, pineapples, shellfish, and turkey. I'm especially worried about the rice allergy since I passed...
  6. I use Desert Essence's face wash: Open Original Shared Link I use their shampoo, conditioner, and body wash as well. I really like their stuff but I wish they had a shampoo for curly hair.

    ARCHIVED Omg!

I got glutened by Xanax last week. I would suggest you look for something else to help with the anxiety.. Xanax is very addictive and the withdrawals can be horrible.
  8. I have the rash currently but my dermatologist said it was too small of an area to biopsy and it was "just dermatitis." I'll try contacting the immunologist again, thank you! I forgot to mention that I can't even touch something containing gluten. I once tried to bake for someone and the flour actually ate through the skin on my hands. Is this normal...
  9. I'm a soy, rice, and gluten free vegan and, yes, it can be hard! Luckily, there are a bunch of things like tempeh (check to make sure it's gluten free, some contains barley), Amy's bistro burgers, soy curls, and many other things I can't really think of right now.. I'll let you know if I come up with anything else.
  10. I've had issues with misdiagnoses forever, starting with depression at nine when it really was Hashimoto's thyroiditus. I'm getting extremely frustrated. I've had many doctors tell me that I most likely have celiac disease but they are are not comfortable diagnosing me because my Prometheus blood panel was inconclusive and I've been off gluten too long for...
  11. I'm sorry if this is the wrong section to post this in, but I had no idea what this question would go under. I've had this problem develop in the last few weeks and was wondering if it was normal.. I seem to have a reaction whenever I'm around a gluten containing item being cooked. An example: I was walking around a mall last week and passed a Mrs. Fields...
