  1. I have seen various posts listing Smart Ones frozen meals which are gluten free. Open Original Shared Link However, the grocery stores in my area (Austin, Texas) don't seem to carry many of them. I have only found the Broccoli and Cheddar Potatoes and the Santa Fe Rice and Beans. I am really hoping for one of the meals, especially since Lean Cuisine...
  2. I had been under the impression that I could only take the original, not the generic, store brands. However, pharmacies in town are no longer able to get Sudafed brand of the little red pills! Allergy season is in full swing here, and I am trying to figure out what to take instead of the original.
  3. I am confused about Lipton Onion Soup Mix. I have seen some posts that say it is gluten free. However, on the ingredients it lists yeast extract (barley). Wouldn't that be a no-no? Safeway brand onion soup mix lists yeast extract, but doesn't have the word barley. Other store brands (HEB) list other ingredients that are not okay. So, any suggestions...
  4. I'm fairly new to this celiac stuff and had sadly thought I'd never get to eat at a fair or rodeo or football game, etc. Does anyone have experience with being able to eat at these sort of places and what has been asked to confirm the foods are okay?
  5. I keep checking for the gluten-free Bisquick at my local (Austin, Texas) grocery stores. No luck yet, but I spoke to a manager at HEB yesterday and am hoping he'll try to get it. I found it today at Walmart! They had the Bisquick and the Asian Fried Rice Hamburger Helper.
  6. In addition to fajita seasonings, I would be sure to inquire also about the rice. Several places where I live (Austin, Texas) say they use a chicken both, which has flour as a thickener, in the rice.
  7. I thought the Lipton was not Gluten Free. Is it the onion versus golden onion? I had been buying a local brand (Randall's / Safeway) because I was avoiding the Lipton.
  8. I am newly diagnosed, and busily on the enormous learning curve involved. (Boy, it is so much more than eliminating bread!) I am confused about frozen juice concentrates. I use both oj and lemonade concentrates in a couple of recipes. The websites for Minutemaid and Tropicana list a few products as gluten-free, but, if they are in concentrate form no...
  9. What about the flavorings in Starbucks coffee? I am newly gluten-free, and I can't figure out if I can have the Caramel or the Pumpkin Spice flavors in my lattes. Or if I can have the frappacinos. Starbucks won't say if anything is gluten-free. Anyone have info on this?
