  1. My kids found out that Fruity Pebbles and Coco Pebbles are gluten-free too!!! I made Fruity pebbles treats and they were very very very delicious! Very sugary taste if that's what you're craving. My friend found coco pebble treats already made in packages at Basha's in AZ! Everyone ate them before I could try it though:(
  2. My ex-mother in law works at one of the grocery stores in the meat department and she met a woman who told her that she cannot eat chicken because they eat "feed" which contain gluten. I really didn't think this was a problem because it's digested or what ever. However, she's convinced. Apparently there's expensive chicken that have not consumed gluten...
  3. Thanks Keri! It's mom's like you that help make me feel I'm doing the right thing. Sometimes people who don't relate think I'm being extream. I'm almost a year at being gluten free and still accidently gluten myself here and there. It's going to take some time but I will never ever go back!
  4. I noticed this posting was from 3 years ago so I'd like to update a little and see what others have found. I ate at Macayo's in Goodyear a few times in 2010 & 2011 and each time felt ill. The last time I ate there the waitress said, "all the corn tortillas are dusted with wheat". Then, when I went to the one on 75th & thomas I spoke to the manager...
  5. This is an older Topic but I have not learned how to use this forum just yet. I've noticed that I have reactions from Dr. Pepper when it's from the fountain machine at Circle K and from Barro's Pizza (I didn't there but my friends picked me up a Dr. Pepper at lunch). My reactions consist of my tummy painfully expanding and the feeling of not being able...
  6. eating out a lot is bad news for my tummy!

  7. Daughter was just diagnosed with Celiac's Disease. I stopped going to the doctor for me to get her diagnosed as it is a long process and many different doctors and doctor appointments and time off work and copays etc. I know it's genetic and I am sure that I have it and so does my mom even though never diagnosed....Do I now try and eat gluten again and...
  8. The place-mat is such a good idea! My daughter is in 4th grade, was just diagnosed with Celiac's and I'm freaking out. How will I'll give her good tasting food in a "cold lunch" and have her not be hungry?
  9. New to be being gluten free and went to a baby shower. Passed all the processed foods and was so happy to see Spanish rice. After a few minutes from eating my tummy started that all too familiar pain starting to creep in. Over heard the lady who made it saying she added chicken bouillon to the rice and knew that was it. I thought well, I'll stay calm...
  10. My sister saves a small amount of food for me before the family starts serving themselves or before she adds the gluten type sauces to it. No one else in the family does that for me but my mom n sisters. Cross contamination is inevitable at a potluck party. Even the salsa bowl becomes unsafe when kids dip chips that are not safe for me to eat. If going...
  11. I can't use my BIG SEXY hair spray because I get really sick after. I didn't realize the connection until I recently went gluten free. In January I started a food journal and decided to add in details about how I felt when I felt icky. Low and behold GLUTEN was the underlying cause. Guess what's in my hairspray? That's right, Wheat. Sprayed and breathed...
