  1. I just sent you a PM with the info. If you have any questions let me know. Didn't post it here, as I don't know how they feel about links to things for sale.
  2. Just let me know when you come up with something. This would be the real 'life-saver' for me. If I could find an edible wrap, I really wouldn't even care about sandwich bread to be honest. Can't remember the brand I bought, but they were large brown rice tortillas. I even steamed the lousy things and they were still like eating parchment paper,.....thick...
  3. Glad to hear that someone else has tried it and approves! I just need to line up the ingredients,.....probably will do one this weekend if I can find the stuff. Someone mentioned Bisquick biscuits. Wow,.....I tried some of those, and while they looked OK, they sucked the moisture out of my throat when I ate one. Funny thing is what happened when...
  4. Let us know how it turns out. I actually am a garlic lover, so I might very well do the same as you did. Hey,.....you folks are making me hungry!
  5. Since you are into experimenting so much, here is another request. Do you think there is any way to make a sandwich wrap,.....like a flour tortilla, that isn't the texture of calfskin (brown rice), or overpowers the flavor of the meat in the sandwich (corn)? I am not talking about using them for Mexican dishes. I am fine with the hard shelled items...
  6. If you are interested I will give you the link to where I buy it from. All grass fed and finished from a family farm in Minnesota. No hormones or anti-biotics either, and no I am not connected to the business,.....just a lng time customer. I am having another 20 pounds shipped right now. I haven't really eaten beef from the store for about 2 years....
  7. I have printed this one as well! I'm gonna be busy,.....first have to find the ingredients.
  8. I am printing off recipes as fast as I can! So far I have simply used ground rice cheks in my meatloaf for crumbs. I can't really tell a big difference, but then some of you might not like my meatloaf anyway,.......I use ground bison!
  9. I see some of you are going to make me watch the board! I see recipes going up now. Guess I better get to reading and printing!
  10. Etta,...thanks for the PM or whatever they call them here. I saved the recipe BTW. I still can't quite figure out how this forum works in terms of configuring options. My profile shows e-mail as private, and I can't seem to figure out how to change it.
  11. Unfortunately I do not have a Whole Foods store close to me,......about an hour and a half away. I understand that a lot of folks here like the BC stuff, just like the Bisquick gluten-free. I am very happy for them, and I consider them lucky. I am not giving up quite yet to the point of accepting that stuff as part of my life. I am a very good...
  12. You HAVE to look at this recipe...it is awesome..I'm a newbie too and it has TASTE!

  13. The burgers on the bagel idea is a good one,.......feel like a dope that I didn't think about it myself. Those Udi's bagels are one of the few things I actual can eat and semi enjoy in the bread category. My mother made one of those Betty Crocker cakes for me last week. We only live about 20 miles apart. I thanked her for it, but had to say don't make...
  14. As far as the question for me concerning pizza,....I tend to like the authentic NY style. Even before I started this gluten-free thing, I did not eat 'fast food' type pizza. We have quite the assortment of little hole in the wall type Italian places around here that make great pies. One owner in particular will think that I died being as I used to stop...
  15. Pizza is another big thing I miss! Your cake sounds delicious, and although I am not a huge sweet eater I will be waiting to see how that one turned out as well. To date all I have done pizza wise is those little 8" Schar cardboard things,.....they suck IMHO. I also tried some ready made mix that was only slightly better. I am counting on...
  16. I understand what you are saying 100%. Actually it is my functional medicine doc that goes against all the others. He has told me I need to stay gluten-free, and that I have leaky gut. I do believe he is a diamond in the rough to be honest. I guess I am looking for an easy way out,.....sure you know what I mean. I am trying to not face changing...
  17. IrishHeart,.....once again we have many things in common. This doctor is actually an OB/GYN as well as an Endocrinologist, but he got into 'functional medicine' years ago. I was referred to him by my regular doc due to some of my weird complaints. My cortisol actually registered high in the AM and also in the PM. AM is the highest level as you know...
  18. For what it's worth, I forgot to mention the test that I think influenced my functional medicine doc to have me do the gene test. It was a saliva based test that he was mainly using to check my cortisol levels throughout the day. Anyway a thing called Gliadin Ab, SIgA came back as 'borderline' at 14. the scale was 13 to 15 U/ml, and over 15 is considered...
  19. Just got back online,.......post away or send me the recipes PLEASE!!!!!! If you start a thread of your own, please inform this newb where to find your recipes, as I will try anything at this point. Really interested in a decent pizza crust recipe, dinner rolls, and buns for burgers if possible! I'm not asking much am I?
  20. Yes,......you are making perfect sense! I am going to stick with this for a much longer period of time than I had planned due to your responses. Hopefully someday I may be able to answer a question for you? I doubt it!
  21. Thanks for all of your info,......I will try it as soon as I get a chance. I can't seem to figure out how some companies can make some great baked goods, but none IMHO seem to be able to do the bread thingy. I am not much of a sweet eater, but I bought a package of Pamela's Products CC cookies last week. To me they tasted every bit as good as...
  22. IH thank you so much for all of that info in one place! Like most things I have a number of those symptoms, but certainly not all,.....I won't waste bandwidth saying which ones other than this. I have heard about the anemia issue previously, but I am opposite in terms of having higher iron levels. I have been tested for hemochromatosis but it came...
  23. I have gotten used to the Glutino breakfast bars myself. Pick your flavor,......about 150 calories IIRC. They are actually quite good IMHO.
  24. Well I tried the gluten-free Bisquick for some biscuits. Thought they might be ok at first but when I ate one I thought I was going to choke from it sucking the moisture out of my throat. They went to the animals as well. Bread products seem to be the killer for us. Most of the other stuff I have used for years is already gluten-free and I was glad...
  25. Wow,.....thank you very much for telling me your story. I am going to stick with it much longer than planned I guess. While I am a 49 year old male, I have some of the same issues as you do. Used to be 6 feet tall on the nose and weighed right at 190 pounds,.....virtually no fat, but not a muscle-head either. I have lost an inch due to my bad back...
