  1. I get that type of pain when I have been glutened and when I get constipated (which for me is the major problem I have when I have dairy).
  2. Thank you all for your suggestions! I really appreciate having this forum.
  3. Hi everyone, I've been gluten-free and DF for about 8 months now and have plateaued at about 80-90% healing (still experience gas, some bloating and fatigue). Through the use of an elimination diet and some blood work, I think the problem might be rice. Does anyone know of a good gluten-free, DF AND rice-free probiotic? I really find that probiotics...
  4. Does anyone have any ideas? I just went to see my Doc and she said "well, you might have IBS too". ARG! I'm willing to do another elimination diet if needed but I barely even know where to start. Plus, I need to stop losing weight (I was finally stabalizing after 4-5 months of being gluten-free but the past month has been bad again).
  5. I lost weight after I switched to a gluten-free diet. My doctor was pretty upset with me but I wrote it off that I was now eating all whole foods and basically no carbs (except for occasional rice and corn chips). He did have me start tracking calories though and I figured out that while I was full I was not consuming as much as I should be but it has now...
  6. They are definitely dairy free (I made that mistake a few months ago). I am eating the exact same that I have been eating for the past few months - very little processed food and I don't eat out besides the occasional trip to Chipotle.
  7. Hi everyone, I'm hoping for some "veteran" advice here. I have been gluten free since Jan. and dairy and soy free since Feb. After making slow progress I added probiotics (per my doc) and by May was starting to feel about 80-90%. The past few weeks have been bad - and seem to be different than my gluten symptoms. Over a week ago I got some moderate...
  8. Thank you everyone for the great suggestions AND for letting me know I am not the only one who gets sick from this! I can't wait to be a gluten-free "pro" and pass it forward as you all have to me.
  9. Thanks for the response. It is so hard to be so sensitive, but I must be considering this is not the first time this has happened. You are very right, I probably just needed someone else to say it. My husband and I eat a lot of wonderful meals that are gluten free. Most others aren't as understanding as my husband but I suppose they don't have to know...
  10. I've been gluten-free for 6 months now and I'm finally starting to get the hang of it and feel better (after dropping dairy, soy, peanut butter and peppers along the way and only eating non-processed foods). That being said, I think I've been glutened at least twice now serving other people foods that contain gluten! I know I am pretty sensitive but I washed...
  11. I am avoiding all three too - definitely overwhelming at first but it has gotten better (especially as I've started feeling better). I LIVE on food made in my crock pot - just throw in some beef or chicken, veggies, rice (or potatoes if you can do those, I can't) and some gluten-free broth and seasoning (gluten-free of course) and let it cook all day...
  12. I didn't even think about soy being in chips - ARG, so much to learn! Maybe I will stick to no processed food until I feel good for a week and then I will try to add corn as my first new food so I get tortilla chips back - BUT only ones without soy.
  13. Weird - thanks for the info on corn tortillas. As for cleaning out my kitchen, I've been wondering how far to take it. My husband is being supportive but isn't going to go 100% gluten-free (he isn't a big fan of gluten-free chips and he loves his protein shakes). I cleaned out the pantry and gave him one shelf. We replaced the pans we use most often...
  14. Thank you - this forum has been a lifesaver for me and I really appreciate your responses! While I slowly added food for the first month or so, I started adding things much more quickly lately (because I was getting bored) but I'm sure that is the problem. I have also been basically living on Glutino gluten-free crackers but now realize those might be adding...
  15. I am new to all of this (dx Celiac, gluten-free for about 2 months) and it seems like I only get a few good days before I make a mistake and feel sick for a week. I recently discovered I can't have dairy either, which complicates it all. Overall I am much better but the bad days outnumber the good days still and I just want to cry. I feel like I am so...
