  1. Thanks for all the help guys. Like I said in another forum, I haven't felt this good in years and am very thankful for that, but I just can't help but to feel there is another level I can reach.
  2. My doctors are fairly receptive to my suggestions, so I guess I'll just ask him to look closer.
  3. I'm assuming they use the .5 to 5.0. I had just been reading that the ranges used vary from lab to lab and that if you ever have a TSH over 3.0, then you might be headed for hypothyroidism. I know I haven't been tested for it, I am pretty sure she hasn't either.
  4. I went gluten-free nearly 4 months ago and haven't felt this good in years. I was able to start running again for the first time in 3 years. In fact, if I were to say my health was a 2 out of 10 last spring, I would say it's a 7 now, which is great! But Because I know I still have some room for improvement, I had my thyroid tested. My tests results...
  5. Hey everyone, It has been a while since I posted on here but I just wanted to check in and tell everyone that going Gluten Free was one of the greatest decisions I have ever made. So many of my symptoms have either lessened in severity or went away totally. I have finally been able to take up running again for the first time in 3 years. Don't get...
  6. I called coppertone and they swear it is gluten free. I use it and have not had any reactions.
  7. Before I went gluten-free I never really craved sugar, however, over the last 3 or 4 weeks I have gotten a sweet tooth like never before. I can eat 10 rolls of smarties in a matter of minutes and put down a large bag of M&M's in a couple of hours. I also have been eating a lot grapes and Yogurt too! Did anyone else experience this?
  8. gluten-free since 5/9/11 Fatigue Gone Migraines Gone Joint Pain Gone Only sleeping 7 to 8 hours (Was sleeping 12 to 14 and still felt tired) Short Term Memory is almost normal again Able to do Math in my brain again Running, Swimming, and playing basketball again, finally after 2 years. 9. Thought I would contribute my 2 cents to this forum. I live in Central and Southern Indiana, so hopefully this will help some fellow Hoosiers! Scotty's Brewhouse gluten-free Menu: 1 page in their main menu Options: about 4 or 5 plus all of their burgers without buns Best Choice: Macho Nachos with Chicken or their pineapple salsa Talapia Times Glutened...
  10. OT Sidenote: I did get the results from my sleep study this morning and everything was pretty normal accept I move my legs more than I should when I sleep. They were wanting to check my iron and seratonin levels now. They also mentioned a medication to keep them from moving so much; pretty apprehensive about that. Wow thanks Shauna! I just started...
  11. I noticed a lot of people had nightshade free in the signature and I did a little research. Potatoes are my favorite food, so giving them up would definitely be a buzzkill.
  12. Thanks everyone for the input! Currently I only drink water, about 100 ounces a day. And the only thing I season my meat with is salt. Pretty bland, but I am being very cautious. I did notice that when I started taking a multivitamin the other day, which contained soybeans, I began to feel worse! I am getting bloodwork done tomorrow; I'll let you...
  13. Thanks sa1937 I guess I am getting a little impatient because I got a taste of being healthy, and now I want the whole thing. I certainly miss cheese Thanks GlutenFreeManna I just called my Dr. and asked to have some blood work done. It is interesting that you mention potassium; that is really what started me down this gluten free trail...
  14. At week 5 and feeling so much better than I did a month ago; however, my joint pain seems to have comeback a bit and my brain fog level seems to have stopped improving. Don't get me wrong, I am really happy about all the progress I have made in a short time, but was curious what it will take to get to the next level. (My problems are neurological) My diet...
  15. Hey Pete!

    How are you doing, kiddo?

  16. Unfortunately, this is very true. Don't let it bother you though, feeling healthy is most important right now. Do whatever it takes to get back to being you. You might offend someone because you won't eat their cooking, but if they really care about you, they'll get over it. If not, their loss.
  17. 1) Don't give up, people heal at different rates! 2) People will try to tell you it's not really the gluten or it's in your head; but don't listen! There isn't anyone who knows your body like you!
  18. At this point I am gluten free, lactose free, and corn free. Has anyone had any issues with beans, soybeans, and peas?
  19. The back of each RTD Muscle Milk says gluten free, however, I was looking at their protein powder today and saw where it was made in a factory with wheat products. I am feeling a bit off today and am wondering if the MM RTD are cross contaminated. I also drank one on Friday and felt a bit off too. Has anyone used Muscle Milk products and what are your experiences...
  20. Has anyone used GNC multivitamins?
  21. Thanks for the reply SJM, I have just been so concerned finding one that was Gluten Free that I didn't consider the quality. That is really useful information as I am still in the healing process.
  22. Their bottle says Gluten Free, and when I talked to their Pharmacist about it, she called the number on the label. They could not confirm their entire facility was Gluten Free, but were certain each supplement had its own bin. I don't know if that means its own manufacturing line or not. They also would not give us a number to reach the facility to check...
  23. Thanks Poppi I will definitely give up corn for a little while, along with lactose as well. I hadn't thought of plastic untensils until yesterday, so I will be making that change as well. Thanks for your help Poppi! I am learning more and more each day.
  24. I did a little research the last couple of days and found out that all coppertone lotions are fine to use. They told me that all of their lotions are gluten free. Has anyone had a bad experience with coppertone? Good? I also found out that Target's Brand of Multivitamins are gluten free as well. Has anyone had bad experience with that brand? Thanks
