  5. Hi Steven! I am new here and have not be formally diagnosed yet. I had a Celiac Panel drawn up almost 2 weeks ago and I am STILL waiting on the results! So as you have probably figured out I have not adopted the gluten free diet as of yet. I am still having symptoms that I am convinced are from celiac disease so if I get a negative I will be shocked...
  6. Wow!! Scott City huh? I go through there everytime I go to Cape!! Small world! I am very worried about getting the diagnosis simply for the reason Poplar Bluff only has 1 health food store and I am merely assuming that they carry gluten free foods. I have been paying attention when I grocery shop (at wal-mart) to the amounts of gluten free foods available...

  10. Hello everyone!! I am new to these boards but was wondering if there was anyone on here from the South East Missouri area? 11. Hi there! I am new here also but have done A LOT of research on this very topic!! I think that if you get a positive blood test they are something like 90% accurate. But you have to keep eating gluten so it is in your system before you have your blood drawn! I think that it is the negatives that are inaccurate. False negatives are common with Celiac...

  16. Thanks so much for your replies! I did not mean to insinuate that a colonoscopy would diagnose me with celiac disease, my Dr just told me that if the Celiac panel came back negative then I would be in need of a colooscopy! to find out why I have had D for so long! I am still eating gluten altho I am afraid to. But just incase I have to have the biopsy...
