Not so sure about this product. It doesn't look any better than Splenda which I refuse to use since it's chemically made. Check out www.shugr.com the ingredients include maltodextrin & sucralose. Sucralose is made from the chemical compound derived from chlorine used for Splenda. Maltodextrin is not good for most people as it causes spikes in blood sugar. I don't know if that makes sense I'm not the best spokesperson on this subject but the info is out there on the web if you search for any of these ingredients. I don't think I'll be rushing out to buy any Shugr!

Ewww...don't want no grits contaminating my bacon
Sorry just teasing...couldn't resist. I think my mother turned me off them for the rest of my life by making me eat bad grits before school when I was younger!
I was actually told to stay away from grits (no problem for me) so they might not be safe but I may have been mis-informed (it wouldn't be the first time).

I just found you can also buy them on amazon .com and the shipping is cheaper if anyone is interested. Lots of items on amazon now. Didn't know they sold food and stuff. I only ever used to go there for books or celiac disease's when they used to be cheaper there!

My mother-in-law bakes the best gluten-free bread I've been telling her for ages to find a way to market it. She's showed me how to bake it but I can't for the life of me remember the recipe, etc right now (She does it so well and so often I don't usually bother) but I will check with her. I will not buy any more bread because it simply is not good. I recommend you give the baking a go and stash some in the freezer for later use.

Don't know about the cakes. I only odered cookies and it was only about $8 to ship 3 packs....$60 is ridiculous!!!
I have never seen them in any of my local stores.

This is great information thanks! I love ice cream!
Can I ask how everyone put their information to appear at the bottom of their messages? I have a feeling this place is going to become a second home for me while I'm online and want to share some more information about me as well.
Thanks

Thanks for that link Kaiti...thats a good long list...some things on there I simply didn't bother to look at the ingredients because I was sure they would not be gluten-free so I just stayed away from them. Maybe I'll treat myself to a couple now.
