  2. what do you order at brew city??
  3. I live in worcester-hopefully this will help: 1) outback in auburn 10 minutes away 2) two restaurants: 111 Chophouse and the Sole proprieter (sp) are owned by the same folks and have done well by me when I explain my needs. Most (all?) or the salads at the Sole dont come with croutons anyway. I get the greek salad, a piece of grilled fish (no...

    ARCHIVED Legal Sea Food

I had a worrisome experince at Legal's after my OP, went there for dinner and they served me rice pilaf in stead of the jasmine rice. The manager was very embarassed and said it was the first time it ever happened. This reinforced that no matter where you go-the only way to not get glutened for SURE is to cook it yourself. on the whole though I eat so...
  5. This thread is interesting.... My wife and I have discovered that eating gluten-free is very healthy and forces us to cook more. She keeps some regular bread around and uses a sep. toaster and other than that we eat all the same stuff (gluten-free pasta, steak, rice, veggies). I do not understand the problem described above with spouses wanting non...

    ARCHIVED Legal Sea Food

yep-they have chicken too-just went there tonight-excellent place
  7. For those in the boston area-Legal Sea Food has a gluten-free menu!!!! (there is also one at the airport for you travelers. They even have a gluten-free calamari which is coated in corn meal and pan fried instead of deep fried, they also have gluten-free breadcrumbs for fish dishes!
  8. I am surprised you stayed there and gave them any of your money. I had a frustrating experience at a Tony Roma's in NV. Their website say they are gluten-free. The restaurant said no-so I said bye-bye and told them I was headed to Outback. Sorry you had that experience....
  9. i agree with above-I only order those items that have no substituions and I berate the waiter in a nice way to let them know that it's extremely important
  10. Exactly! Apparently they don't understand how important this is or how many people out there are affected. I never ate at a Outback in my life until I started a gluten-free diet and since then I've spent a lot of $$$ there!
  11. Hello all: I would like to ask those in this forum (and your friends/family) to help convince this restaurant chain start a gluten free menu. I have cut/pasted my email exchange with them below. You can see they are not in a rush to have a gluten-free menu (but maybe they are starting?). Please help by sending them an email and asking them to gring...
  12. Please email list to at_atill@yahoo.com at your convenience-Thanks!
  13. Anderson Erickson yogurts are gluten-free- I emailed the company
  14. I doubt that "vinegar" on a USA label translates to apple cider vinegar, where did you get this info. My guess would be "vinegar" means white/distilled/grain vinegar.
  15. My family is going to Puerto Rico, most specifically the Rincon area. Any tips from someone who has been there?????
