  1. Yeah, from the sounds of what she explained it gave me the impression they would be doing one. Will they be offended if I insist on more? I don't want to tell them how to do their job, but I also don't want it to all be for nothing!!!
  2. So, I went and saw the Nurse Practitioner at the Gastro Dr.'s office yesterday (if I had to wait to see the actual doctor it would have been several months). My blood test levels all came back as 'low positive' for celiac, so she wants to do an endoscopy with a biopsy to confirm.   3. Oh, I don't know for sure that he feeds the cattle the barley, I will have to ask. He just said his barley crop was ruined.
  4. That's why I asked. We just joined a grassfed beef CSA and got our first delivery on Friday. I was talking to the farmer (he delivers it himself) about how he managed through the hurricane we had a few weeks ago and he said he thought he lost the majority of his barley crop.   6. Dogfishead Punkin' Ale. Oh my....how I miss that. Pizza, homemade bread, fried calamari from my favorite Italian restaurant and fried chicken from my favorite southern foods restaurant. <sigh> But I FEEL better NOT eating them, so all is not totally lost!

From what I've read though the treatment is the same whether I have the scope or I tested positive for celiac through the blood test so I'm not sure if they are going to require the scope or not. I'm not ingesting gluten until I talk to the gastro, which will be next week. I've also been reading about the tax deduction for food for people with celiac...
