  1. Hi Skylark, Thanks for writing. I understand that test confirms that celiac condition is there. Having said that, do you think this test anyway signifies that antibodies could be coming down. Her TTG levels at the time of diagnosis were 297, then 291 and now 296. These results, do they conclusively confirm that she is ingesting gluten or is any other issue...
  2. Hi, Can someone here please help me interpret these results of EMA antibodies. There is another test ordered by doctor which is EMA (IFA technique) for which the report is still awaited: what kind of reporting happens in IFA technique? ------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ENDOMYSIAL ANTIBODY, IgA IN ...

  4. Hey Roda, My DD doesnot take oats. Grinder is not contaminated i have checked on that. Only 2 processed products from Orgran she consumes frequently they are their animal cookies and breakfast cereal. The ingredients don't mention oats. I am clueless. Evev if she is super sensitive, what keeping her ttg levels from moving even a bit. They just don't want...
  5. Hey no issues at all, i really appreciate that you are able to contribute so much with a 4 month old baby. Well, my DD has been tested for thyroid and it is normal. We have tried to sensitize her teachers and staff at school as much as we can. I feel she is going on fine at school how much i am able to derive from talking to her. I am in India, but its a...
  6. Skylark, Had an email exchange with doctor and she has ordered anti endomysial antibody test. We will do it tomorrow and lets see how it goes. I guess she would try to do all possible blood work before deciding on biopsy. I'll update after reports have come. Till then, anxiety will keep building, but can't run away from it. Thanks a lot.
  7. Hi healinginprogress, I am sorry that you are also going through the same situation. So, if i can ask you, what have your doctors suggested? Thanks Nannu
  8. My apologies to not mention clearly : The lab figures at three times were : 297, 291, 296
  9. Thank you Skylark, You have always helped. So, my only question here is "Is is ok to ignore such high antibody levels?" My worry is that it should not do any harm in the long run when we are trying to take all precautions.
  10. Dear StephanieL, Thanks a ton for Hugs. I guess i needed that. As of now,i have not shared this reports news with anyone in my both the families because all of them will start panicking and i guess i need my own peace of mind at this stage to manage this situation. So, yes your hugs did mean to me a lot. Thanks once again. Just to answer your questions...
  11. Hi All, Today I got the reports of my DD's one year follow up blood tests and her anti ttg iga tests are the same as they were at the time of diagnosis, very high positive (>290). Her last test was done in september 2011 and report was the same. After that report, we became super strict and everything for her was prepared at home right from scratch...
  12. Hi Skylark and Bartfull, Thanks for the responses. I am sorry that the issues became so severe that you had to give up on grains. In India, we attach so much to grains and millets and lentils that all this looks so overwhelming. I guess time only decide for me if i need to quit corn for my daughter. Will discuss the same with our Doc when we meet her after...
  13. Thanks Everybody for sharing...I hope to get more replies. Nannu
  14. Hi Everyone, CORN - this topic has been on my mind since a few days, finally i am getting it here. There have been articles time and again about corn being the under researched grain for its gluten can also cause issues similar to wheat gluten. For me, my DD who is a celiac (diagnosed 1 yr back, TTG IGa levels still high, will be testing this month again...
  15. Hi, I am also an Indian, mother of a celiac child. I completely understand what you must be going through. Believe me, whatever has happened has been fr good. If a girl can't support you before marriage, definitely she will be so difficult to handle after marriage. In such a situation, you need to have a partener who will support you. India has a long...
  16. You are very right, some foods do cause gas and my gut feeling is the same. I too feel its nothing else that could be wrong going on. For the goodness of certain foods, we do need to give them even if they are causing gas....
  17. Thanks everyone. There has been no recent antibiotic use, but too much fiber is definitely there and also most of the eating happens only in the second half of the day after 3:00 pm as she is away for school for almost 8 hours. Also, she is a thal minor so to keep her hb strong, i have to keep pushing lots of fruits and vegetables including eggs, chicken...
  18. Hi Rosetapper23, Thanks a lot for your advice. She doesn't have soy or oats as part of her diet. Casein - i personally don't want to eliminate it because of her growing nutritional needs and she doesn't trouble consuming milk/curd. i give her pediasure as well. So, what i want to ask, if she is not so bothered with gas (i don't mean acidity but passing...
  19. Hi All, Just a little bit background...My 6 yr old daughter is a celiac (diagnosed feb 2011). Her antibodies levels were very high and didn't come down at her 8 month blood tests. As many others, we have also done our part of mistakes and with the help of this forum and posts here, i have eliminated all gluten from her diet, even traces are not there now...
  20. Hi T.H, Apologies for such a delayed reply and thanks a ton for so much information. Let me answer your questions before i write what all improved measures i have taken at home. My daughter doesn't consume oats. She is mostly ok with most of the foods though there is a bout of D (once only but loose) when i mess up to give her multiple foods that are...
  21. Thanks for the reply. Did you test your TTG levels first time after a year only? If not, what were your intermediate levels? Will definitely checkout the videos that you have shared. Thanks again Nannu
  22. Hi Skylark, The test that we have done is anti TTG IgA. Thanks for your suggestions and they look somewhat relevant in our case. We are going to repeat her tests in 3 months time and we'll also try to do one of the tests that you have mentioned? Do you think there is any emergency to do these findings right now? Now, about your query of MDH masalas : MDH...
  23. Hi, Just thought that my daughter's case is may be like one of you here. She was diagnosed at very high TTG levels of 297 and after 7 months of going GFD her levels were at 291. I haven't come across any case like this in this forum. But, the way you have written means that even so called gluten-free processed foods are acting negatively for you...may...
  24. Hi Roda, Thanks for the inputs. I feel i had taken care of all the things that you have mentioned. Regarding cosmetics, its my 5 1/2 yr old who is a celiac so that option is for now best avoided. We'll need to look into that aspect also as she grows. My levels were at 297 and now at 291 after 7 months. What do you think would be a good time to test again...
  25. Hi again, The repeat tests for us also have come out highly positive. So, no good news. But, my question here is How do TTG levels increase or decrease in a person with a GFD. Has anyone had an experience of delayed healing with multiple anti TTG IGA tests before they could get final normal range results. More and more replies to this post will help...
