Unfortunately my family (except for my husband) refuses to eat gluten free and they are telling me its not their problem and I cant hold them back =0( So im all on my own until I get my own place.   5. I just got diagnosed yesterday and am reading that CC can happen by using pots and pans that other people use to cook gluten foods in. My family is not celiac, and sadly I can really afford to go on a shopping spree to buy my own cookware, as the food itself is pretty costly. Even if I use their pots and pans and they are cleaned...will I still be CC? Sorry...

I see alot of people talking about special body wash and shampoo...I was just diagnosed yesterday and Friday Im going to start my gluten free diet..but is it that necessary to buy gluten free hair care and body products? I thought just ingesting them was the problem..and to be honest I didnt even know gluten was in products like that. Thank you!
  7. I was just diagnosed yesterday, because I have been sick for so long and finally have an answer. I am doing all the research myself, as the soonest appt with a nutritionist is not until Dec 27th. Besides the obvious, what are ingredients to look out for? Someone said caramel coloring?   8. Well what I can tell you is, have a regular endoscopy and colonoscopy didnt show what the doctors needed to see for me. A normal endoscopy doesnt usually go all the way into the small bowel. I had to have a capsule study done where I swallowed a pill with a camera on it to actually see the small intestines. (Which is where they finally saw the celiac damage...

  11. Well my brother has Crohns disease really bad as does my cousin. I have fissures and mouth ulcers and the colonoscopy with biopsies that confirmed crohns. The biopsies from my small instestine and bloodwork confirmed celiac. But yea I will have to let my family know so they can get tested
