  1. I literally posted just DAYS ago, how good I felt, how it had been an entire month without a problem, how happy I felt and how I didnt mind the gluten diet so much. Fast forward to yesterday and today. No idea what caused the problem, but I am broken out everywhere. EVERYWHERE. Arms, legs, hands, base of my scalp, and breasts. My intestines are at threat...
  2. Ok, so, my baby so far, has shown no signs or symptoms of having celiac. She is growing normally, has normal stools and no skin condition. I know that celiac can crop up at any point in a persons life, and that there is no point in worrying about what MIGHT happen, but, I was just wondering, are there statistics as to how likely it is that she will develop...
  3. I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my Canyon bakehouse products. I read some awesome reviews and was really curious, so I put in an order for the foccacia, the white bread, and the hamburger buns. They said they ship on monday, tuesday and wednesdays only, and since tomorrow is a holiday, I am assuming that they will ship it on Tuesday. But I wanna try...
  4. I'd be really interested to hear what they say... I got a bag out of the vending machine at work today and 30 minutes later I was running for the bathroom. It is now several hours later and I am developing a rash on my arms, and (for the first time) on my chest. I was given to believe that they were gluten free and safe...
  5. It sounds like we are on similar time frames here. I was diagnosed May 9th, 2011 so I am at the 8 month mark. Congrats on getting this stuff figured out. Its hard, but I keep finding other things to be more careful about.
  6. I have been tooling around this site for several weeks now, and I just came across a post that linked gall bladder disease and celiac? Is this serious? Is my celiac the reason that I lost my gall bladder when I was just 22? That would explain so much....
  7. I don't know what it was that changed my outlook...maybe its that I have managed to go almost an entire month without a glutening. Or maybe its that my skin has been clear long enough that my fingers almost look normal. Maybe its the worry that the gluten was causing the bleeding kidneys. Or maybe its just that all the gluten is out of my brain. ;-) I...
  8. I totally agree with everyone else. My blisters start out under the skin on my fingers and hands and if I am really good and dont pop them, then they turn yellow. And then I HAVE to pop them. No matter how determined I am, I can't stand it. Even to the point where I would scratch them like crazy in my sleep. I also know what you mean about them being hard...
  9. First of all, I can't even tell you how much it helps to hear "I know, I have been there exactly". I don't have anyone in my life with anything that's even similar, so, I am so glad I found this forum! I have also been learning loads from the posts here... My doctor wasn't exactly a font of information, she just told me to read up on it... Also, she had me...
  10. I am feeling so, so down right now. Maybe just because its the holidays and they are centered around food here, but, Its just been getting worse and worse. I was diagnosed with a gluten intolerence about 6 months ago. I had had diarrhea and crazy rashes for 5 years (with a wide variety of interesting diagnoses) so when they said "food intolerance" I quickly...
