  1. I had my endoscopy a couple weeks ago, and I was really nervous about it too....but it was so easy. The worst part is the anticipation. They had me gargle with some nasty stuff to numb my throat. Then the doctor told me to lie down on my side...and the next thing I remember, I was waking up in my bed at home. My girlfriend went with me to the appointment...

  3. It only took a week for me to get my endoscopy. However, the GI doctor I see has an "endoscopy center" located right in their office, which only services their patients. If your endoscopy is done at a hospital, where dozens of doctors send patients for endoscopy...this might explain why a longer wait is involved.
  4. When my biopsy results came back as "perfectly normal", I was very surprised and somewhat skeptical...so I asked that they mail me a copy of my pathology report. It turns out that they only took 1 sample/biopsy from my small bowel. They also took a biopsy from my stomach, and one from the esophagus, but those were because of irritation due to reflux. ...
