  1. Hi Bev, I found another gentlemen that does support groups and am trying to set up a support meeting with him & others. If you can e-mail me your contact info that would be helpful. Thanks, Trish peacefuleating@yahoo.com
  2. Hello all, I've been a member now for 8 months, joined when my daughter had 14" of intestine removed for a bowel obstuction on New Year's Eve. Now she can't eat a trace of gluten. She never really was supposed to eat it, by process of elimination diet, but as a pre-teen, she cheated. I've gone 100% gluten-free also sine 1/1/12 and feel much better than...
  3. My daughter just had 14" of her intestines removed and I swear it is Celiac. Her surgeon says "no such thing". But another doc in hospital that is Integrative that trained under Andrew Weil said there are SO MANY FALSE negatives and people keep going on eating gluten and continuing to damage their intestines. I can't get my daughter diagnosed since we...

Last night pain started in her belly, then nausea, then diarrhea from 3:00 on to 10:00 this morning. She is home from school "sick" again. I know there is a lot on this forum about being "glutened" - so I called the restaurant and...

She was at a friends last night and I sent her with gluten-free snacks and she ate them all and called me to ask if she could have popcorn. For some reason my intuition said no. Has anyone on here had any issues with digesting...

  9. Thank you everyone for your replies and advice. The doctors don
  10. My daughter's Integrative doc (trained under Andrew Weil) said many many people including kids get back a FALSE negative. Glad you are taking this into your hands to start her gluten-free.
  11. Hi, I just joined this group today also. I posted about my 12 year old daughter and all her gluten battles including surgery on her intestines. She had been cheating and caused her to have intussusception (bowel obstruction). Tell him if he cheats it is doing him more harm than he realizes inside his intestines. We can't see inflammatory damage. My...
  12. Hello everyone, I just joined this group today. My 12 year old daughter went into the hospital on New Year's Eve for 6 days for surgery due to Intussusception. She had to have 12" of her large intestine removed, 4" of small intestine, appendix, and ileocecal valve. She was out of school for almost 3 weeks and has a 7" scar across her belly. I fell horrible...
