    ARCHIVED Dh?

Thanks again everyone for all your suggestions! This week has been a good, whole food week. I think my biggest struggle is time....I work full time evenings, so often dinner is leftovers, however, I'm not around to make dinner the night before to HAVE leftovers! LOL> I spent yesterday making a bunch of ready to cook freezer meals, and a couple modified...
  2. I had Pad Thai....Mmmmm!! I got the recipe from "Looneyspoons", and it was spectacularly gluten-free without any modifications needed, aside from using gluten-free soya sauce! YUM!!

    ARCHIVED Dh?

Haha, I love it, I used DH twice in the same post, both referring to different things! Glad you guys were able to figure it out! Thanks so much for the support. Great idea to take pictures, i'll do that! Not that I want a picture of this butt roaming around. Would you say that things in the grocery store that specifically are labelled gluten-free would...

    ARCHIVED Dh?

ARGH, I had written out a great long message, and somehow deleted it! Thanks so much everyone for your help. I'm content with my diagnosis of "non-celiac gluten intolerant", however in my little head I have Celiac...Diagnosis or not! I'm trying to get the official pathology reports of my intestinal biopsies to see if there was ANY villi damage....Rumor...
  5. Gluten in Salsa? really?! I didn't even think it might be, and haven't even checked...I don't understand why they have to put gluten in all these yummy, pure foods!!! I've always bought the bulk taco seasoning, but i'll definitely start checking the packets of Old El Paso, thanks! I have done the fridge inside and out, but the freezer will always be a contaminated...

    ARCHIVED Dh?

About 6 years ago I had a positive blood test for Celiac.......They told me to start a gluten-free diet, which I did, and then they did a biopsy while I was gluten-free, had been for a month (Wish I'd known better!!!), and of course, it was negative. Fast forward to the past two years, I've had severe GI issues, and they decided to test again for celiac....
  7. Great advice, thanks everyone! I NEVER would have thought to wash down the handles to cupboards I would have touched while baking! I also washed the outside of sugar, etc. containers....I never would have used a measuring cup in the container, but again, who's to say I didn't touch it with a gluteny hand! And the can opener....Wow, again, I'm glad I asked...
  8. Thanks so much everyone for the replies. I had a breakdown this afternoon, and we had a heart to heart...He's going to try to be more understanding. He wasn't too understanding when I said we need a new high chair tray though! LOL (Ours is scratched, plastic, I'm concerned about gluteny bits sticking in there), but, we're going to compromise with just...
  9. Great thread idea! Today my 15mo took Cucumber, grapes, pineapple Rolled up gluten free deli turkey shredded cheese a snack mix of gluten-free cereals and freeze dried yogurt That looks like such a small amount of food compared to your 8yo lunch! LOL. My go-to's that I like to always have in the house for her are Rice crackers...
  10. I'm finally accepting that I need to be hardcore with CC, as I've got a rash that is strangely DH like, and it must be due to CC. Anyways....So i've gutted the kitchen, and just have a few questions on how to make sure it's really de-glutened. What cookware to I need to worry about? I have some bake ware that really looks brand new, doesn't seem obviously...
  11. Hey everyone, I wonder if you have had trouble getting family on board with a gluten free diet for your non-diagnosed little one? My daughter is only 15 months, and they will not do testing until she is at least 4. However, as I have had success with a gluten free diet (Not biopsied celiac, but positive blood results - i'm certain of it) But, due to...
  12. Hi everyone, I kind of linger around here, and don`t really post a lot, because i`m still learning and not diagnosed. However, i`m starting to worry, with all i`m learning. I`m being screened, and looking at my toddler in a whole new way! Here`s her `symptoms` -Irritability (She`s usually pretty happy go lucky, but sometimes is just a grouch. I haven`t...
  13. Well, The Tissue Transglutaminase Ab IgA was 8....Within normal range it seems? I think i'm going to talk to my doc though about doing a gluten challenge, and then running a total celiac screen....Which tests would you recommend? I don't even know which one it was that came back positive in the past, I need to get all my medical history from my old GP's office...
  14. Thanks everyone. I think that I will just continue with the gluten-free diet, and if it helps, leave it at that.....My Dr. is willing to give me the dx. without positive biopsy, and I'd just rather not go through that again! I will likely see if I can get the actual pathology report though, and possibly a second opinion on the slides. Funny.....
  15. Hi everyone, I'm brand new here, but not new to the idea of Celiac disease and gluten free. About 6 years ago I was having all sorts of abdominal symptoms, and being my father has Celiac (Although he does not eat gluten-free), the Doctor ran a TTaG?, which was high positive. I had a gastroscopy and biopsies, which were negative, and was told I do not...
