  1. Hi all...glad to know I don't feel like a headcase here! My friend keeps telling me to go to emerg, but last time I did that, they kicked me out after trying to kill me by running a bag of morphine over 5 minutes! Oh and called me a liar about me saying there was blood in my BM. As for changing docs, can't do it here. The system mandates that if you have...
  2. Tom, I love the show House, its my favorite show in the world....He's a cocky guy, BUT his diagnostics are fabulous. Ive quite often over the last couple months fantasized about meeting with his show consulting team, 18 of the worlds best diagnosticians....ahhh....They'd figure this out I just know they would....We can dream, until then I sit in excrutiating...
  3. She didn't even mention that....because again I gave them a sample today and it was clear. I said the sediment won't come out till tonight or tomorrow morning. I wonder if I go in with a sore throat, or I can't see if they'll tell me its the celiac too!?!? I should have bypassed the doc and gone to emerg, but then again they'd tell me Im fibbing again...
  4. Well just as suspected I have just come from my doctors office, and now them armed with a confirmed celiac diagnosis, have chosen to ignore my urine sample that states significant crystals and significant bacteria. I am in so much pain (side and back) and I was put on pred and pain killers for a week....basically its all the fault of celiac, stay on the...
  5. If all you can do is ignore them then so be it...we all here know that you arn't lying or making things up!!!! When my husband first was told that I "maybe" had ciliac, he said its a term used by doctors for every ailment known to man...well now that I have two confirmation tests under my belt he believes it. Doctors are quick to blame every symptom now...
  6. Thats awsome that your daughter finally has some answers!!! BUT it had to take years to get here..shame, but Im not surprised. I have a few friends with skin issues and Ive encouraged them all to have the celiac test done, after all it can't hurt! Im so happy for you, and the meals arn't easy as I have just started them myself on March 29th. With the...
  7. I was diagnosed on my birthday March 29/2012. Via bloodwork and scope/colonoscopy both very positive for Celiac, I also have Reynauds syndrome and kidney issues.

  8. I was diagnosed with ciliac via bloodwork (that was the cincher) and a scope/colonoscopy report. Im so angry I could spit!!!! I just called my doc for the urine results, and the one I gave the day of was clear, the one I took the night before and refrigerated had significant bacteria growth and significant crystal growth...you know what they told me???...
  9. This pain is an all over abdominal pain...Like a continuous cramp, one that is persistant and dosn't come and go it just stays....Im going to eat a piece of my gluten-free bread that I made last night, see if that helps...maybe this isn't even the ciliac!? This has been going on for over 14 years, but it used to be very sporadic, and lasted for the most...
  10. Oh my I hope that this excrutiating pain in my stomach is related to the celiac, because this morning it is almost worthy of an emerg visit! Im hoping that with this diet it will go away! I havn't eaten anything at all yet today and the pain is intense! This has been my main symptom that Im ASSUMING is related to the celiac, after all now with a diagnosis...

ARCHIVED Are All Gastro Dr's Inept?

Your not over reacting at all!!! Here where I live in Ontario Canada I was having really bad symptoms for the last two months (14 yrs total very sporadically) and it landed me in emerg three times. I went to emerg with the excrutiating pain and blood in stool along with a chest pain and side and back pain...the only thing that worked was IV morphine, well...
  12. Hi Jessica, I am also newly diagnosed (right on my birthday) and I hear you in the emotion department. Its almost like you have to go through a grieving process, and you go through anger, a deep sadness, almost a depression. Its frustrating and makes you want to scream/cry all the time. I too am going through the same thing. Its very hard for me to tolerate...

    ARCHIVED Freaked Out

I know this won't help, but I was just diagnosed last week and been on the diet for a few days, my stool before was bloody, mucousy and oily too....The blood only came with the pain, now though I havn't had the pain as of late, but the mucous is still there. Not too worried about it, more worried about kidney issue Im having. Did you ask your doc about...
  14. Thank you for the advice! Its I think harder to get gluten free products here in Canada then it is in the US, guess you have more population there, dunno. I do have somewhat of a selection when I take my son to the children's hospital where they have a specialty food shop. It will be a whole lifestyle change, as I loved eating, loved foods and never gained...
  15. Well I am new to this whole celiac thing, and to boot a lactose intolerance. I found out on my 39th birthday! I am terribly upset, and people who say "could have been worse, at least you have an answer" make it worse. I was also one who was called a 'headcase' by doctors after landing in emerg with excrutiating pain and bloody stool, and every test coming...
