  1. Ok, so I tested negative in my blood work but saw so much improvement in my symptoms after a 4 day gluten-free trial before blood work and after many emails with IrishHeart (Thank You) I am gluten-free now. It's been 3 weeks as of today and I feel fantastic, there are still symptoms and muscle weakness that I am contending with but I see improvement everyday...
  2. The first batch I cooked looked like extra large sugar cookies, but the second batch I added some Xanthum Gum and let it rise for about 20 minutes and they came out light and crispy, perfect. I'll message you the recipe.
  3. That would be great! My husband is Italian but all the homemade cooking he ate was from his Auntie who is from Mexico. We are all lamenting the lose of flour tortillas.
  4. We do not have those chains around here. The chain stores are only Safeway and WinCo, but we do have 3 local natural/whole foods grocers. If they can get something they'll order a case of it for me, just have to decide if I want to buy a whole case. I had some really good corn tortillas made by a local Mexican restaurant on the 4th and they sell them at...
  5. My thoughts exactly, Thank God for this site and the support it gives to those of us who appear to be NCGI!! My hubby is having some similar "on speed" thoughts, he is beginning to remember what I was like before all this started, he could barely keep up and I have lost 5 more lbs now that I can walk effectively on the treadmill again. So far the only thing...
  6. Those were the only test results I was given, maybe the lab tech didn't fully understand. I asked my Doctor about all the tests you said, he told me he verified with the lab that would be all of them. But since he forgot to order them and the lab tech had to call my doctor to get the order that day, maybe they did not order all that they were suppose to...
  7. I just wanted to update you, I am now on day 9 of my gluten-free diet and I feel AMAZING!! I do not care what my blood work showed my doctor, my gluten-free diet has PROVEN to me and my family that gluten is the cause of my issues. My weird gait when I walked is GONE!! I have been battling my own body while walking for 4 years and it is just GONE. I wake...
  8. Hello! I too am new to this site I joined at the beginning of this month. I have been battling the following symptoms from your list for the past 4 years: Severe leg pain - mostly ankles, hips, thighs Sciatic nerve pain and lower back constantly burning Little to no ability to focus or concentrate, forgetfulness, loss of memory general "Fibro-Fog" mental...
  9. Thank You for clarifying. I appreciate all the help.
  10. Could you explain further please. I do not understand the test results at all and my Doctor explained nothing. He just said, you negative no autoimmune. I was tested for RHEUMATOID FACTOR, QUNT, HLA B 27 DISEASE ASSOCIATION,RBC SED RATE, AUTOMATED and ANTINUCLEAR ANTIBODIES. The only tests that registered anything was the celiac panel, the Rhumatiod Factor...
  11. My hubby and I discussed it last night and we are both on board with a gluten-free diet, he threw all the gluten containing foods out the day I had my blood drawn. I see too much reduction in my pain even now after a few days gluten-free not to believe it is the problem. I emailed my doctor and told him I'm going to go gluten-free for some time and that...
  12. Help! What does my test results mean. My doctor said everything is negative. ENDOMYSIAL ANTIBODY IGA Negative Negative T-TRANSGLUTAMINASE (TTG) IGA <2 0 - 3 U/mL T-TRANSGLUTAMINASE (TTG) IGG <2 0 - 5 U/mL IMMUNOGLOBULIN A, QN, SERUM 261 70 - 400 mg/dL All my other autoimmune and inflammation tests were negative too. I'm still trying gluten...
  13. I'm so glad your through your testing. What was the endoscope like? Did they put you under general anesthesia?
  14. He sent me there for an autoimmune and inflammation series of blood tests that he wanted to rule out and then I emailed him a few days later and asked him to test me for Celiac. He agreed running the Celiac panel would be good too. I emailed him with the list you gave me to be sure it would include all five tests. The lab tech remembered having the conversation...
  15. When they called my back to the lab I asked them to read me all the tests they were drawing for, the Celiac panel was NOT among them. I told the lab tech I was not leaving until they had an order for my Celiac panel and drew the blood. They called my doc and drew my blood. So glad I asked!
  16. YEA!! Good luck to you too. I really hope this is our answer.
  17. I just can't wait any longer. My body just feels wrong. Since limiting my intake of gluten, cutting out dairy (thank you) and sugar I have been having abdominal pain and cramping within 30 minutes of ingestion, not to mention the lower back burning sensation.
  18. I received my new insurance card yesterday and I'm going in for the blood draw this afternoon. Then I am going gluten-free forever. This few weeks I have kept my gluten intake to lunch or evenings only and I have had symptoms within 1/2 hour of ingestion. There is no doubt in my mind that gluten is causing a response in my body. This morning I decided...
  19. Ms Irish Heart. This is KerOpi's husband responding. Please know, though what you have gone through is excruciating, and that my wife's and my heart go out to you, it is not in vain. If for no one else, you ladies on here have helped my wife feel not alone, not crazy, that there IS hope for her. My heart goes out to your husband as well, for what he has...
  20. You just described every school event I've been to with my son. I have to constantly tell him to slow down, stop and wait with me for a minute until I can go again. He started Kindergarten this year and I feel like I have failed him some how as a mother because I have not be able to participate in most of the schools events. My husband worked weekends...
  21. Just thought of a few other things. I really don't think MS fits for me because I do not have the issues associated with heat the are very typical for MS sufferers. I have the opposite, heat helps the muscle cramps and when it is cold outside or I'm sitting in a draft my leg cramps intensify 3 fold. I'm also currently taking high dose anti-inflammatory...
  22. I am being realistic about the possibility of a negative test, I 'm going off gluten either way because I felt better, my husband even commented about how much improvement he noticed when I walked and he said my hair started to look shiny again, my skin was practically glowing. My hopes are centered around the idea that I might be able to do something to...
  23. I was at work when I read this and had to go to the restroom to finish crying. The fact that this is likely the answer to what I've been suffering is an overwhelming relief. Thank You so much for leading the way and be a part of sites like this so there is a place for people like me to talk with people like you. By the way, I'm 34 and it all started shortly...
  24. Thank You for sharing that with me. I can't stand long enough to make dinner, a walk up the stairs is exhausting and I'm beginning to see the start of the muscle wasting. I get up at 4:30 am every week day, walk for 20 minutes on the treadmill (usually at about 2.4 mph and tripping on my own feet for the last 5 min) and then do conditioning with 3lb weights...
  25. Thank You for the note about Bio Nature that is the exact brand we always buy, I love their stuff!!! I looked at the website and realized those bags sit on the shelf below the ones we buy. OMG!! Pesto Pasta for Dinner still!!!! Thank You so much for the suggestions and support it helps A LOT!!
