Wow Thanks! I really only had them in the house b/c my stomach hurt I was trying EVERYTING... I mean EVERYTING, and NOTHING worked... so now it seems that the Tums did more DAMAGE than help!

I keep trying to explain this to my friends and family and they don't get it, adn I feel like i'm repeating the SAME story 100000000 times. with the exception of my mother (who had celiac as a baby) nobody understands that this is a serious disease, and that I CAN'T contaminate food... (oh, c'mon, you can use the same knife, it woul't be on it.. )AHHHHHHH... -

Thanks guys! yes, i'm a little freaked out... I think that i'm under a lot of stress this year (which is what I think brought the disease out).. my mom had celiac as a baby, but I NEVER did... so it was quite a shock when my dr. was trying to rule everyting out, and was mearly expecting to come up with "IBS" diagnosis, and came back and said "we found... -

Thanks everyone!!! Merika- Why not Margarine?? is it not gluten-free? Of course, this makes it ALL the much more harder to make a transition, b/c i'm getging married in 14 days, and then leaving for a HM to Europe for 2 weeks!!! so NOT being familiar with the gluten-free lifestyle will make it SO hard being in a foriegn country... I will try... -

My Dr. only did an Endoscopy, and did a bi-opsy, he never did bloodwork.. is that enough to rule that it DEFINATELY is Celiac Disease? -
I was trying so hard the past few days to be gluten free... and Wed and Thursday, I had NO symptoms.. Today, I ate at Ruby Tuesdays, and had a hamburger (NO bun) with Cheese, pickles, onion, lettuce, and Heinz katsup, and French Fries... is someing in that givmign me stomach aches? and, once I have the stomach aches, is there ANYTING that can help...

Does anyone know where to obtain a list of products that are gluten free? I am having a hard time to find a list of SPECIFIC products, that I can go out and buy... not necesarlly at a health food store, but at the supermarket, of foods that would be safe? -

The Dr. Just called with the results of the bi-opsy, it IS Celiac. Now, he said Celiac Spruce... is that the same thing as Celiac Disease? and I have to call them back on monday to make an appointment, to go over everthing.. and he is going to refer me to a dietican.. but now i'm going to be a werck all weeknd before I can meet with him... so... -

Thanks. I just think with everyting that is going on, i'm a bit overwhelmed at the moment. and the waiting until thursday is killing me. Can I eat my wedding cake? What kind of flour is cake made out of? I know i'm being stupid, but I don't know much about all this yet... -

Hi everyone. I just had an upper endoscopy on Thursday. My Dr. was doing one to rule out everytying, because my former Dr. (who DIDN'T do ANY tests over the past year, and just kept giving me different meds, for IBS, GERD, Anti-Spazmals etc.. so I left her, and went to a new Dr. who scheduled the tests)... well, right when they woke me from the anastesia...
