  1. Wow, IrishHeart explained it very well I think. I was just diagnosed last week (blood tests, haven't seen the gastro yet) and I am one who has no gastro symptoms but has been suffering from malabsorption problems for years. (anemia, calcium, d, others) It is tough in a way because I won't know if I accidentally have something with gluten or have...
  2. Thank you for all the input, everyone! Ciamarie: I hadn't thought of the type of utensil making a difference (plastic or stainless etc) so that is a great point. And to start of with the big stuff. Easy to get overwhelmed with all the info that is online! Caselynn: I do have an iphone, great tip! I will look for the apps. And yeah, seems...
  3. I was just diagnosed this week by blood tests. Have received many iron iv infusions and take daily mega-doses orally of the others. Low calcium landed me in the hospital years ago, and it appears that the cause was/is Celiac. I can deal with...
  6. My doctor gets back from vacation on Monday. This is just my primary doctor. I was seeing him to get my calcium, iron, etc blood tests done just to check my levels. I take massive amounts of calicum, vitamin d, b vitamins, magnesium every day just to try to compensate for the malabsorption. My best friend who has been trying gluten-free for a couple...
  7. Hello all, I've been googling info about Celiac since I received my blood test results today. My doc is on vacation and is supposed to call me on Mon to advise me about how to proceed, but the test results were: transglutaminase IGA: 90 (nurse said the range is 0-3) !! endomysial IGA: positive (she didn't give me a number) There are mentions...
