    Aha. So even the celiac experts feel that way... I do wonder whether it's worth it for me to drive the 2 hours with my 2 year old just to hear the same thing. I don't understand how the antibodies could not be harming her, esp since her ttg count had gone up considerably when she was retested just 6 weeks after she was first tested.

    We find ourselves in the same boat. Positive ttg and EMA, negative biopsy. GI said she was 'fairly confident' she didn't have celiac. Told me I could have her gluten-free if I wanted but I didn't need to be strict.     We're in the same boat. My friends have been really good at not bringing any gluten snacks to our play dates to avoid tempting my daughter since going gluten-free. My biggest concern is that she'll want to eat the communal snack instead of the food I send for her. My daughter is only 2.5. I'm stressing too!

    All I can speak to is your 2 year old. My daughter was tested when she was 27 mos old and her EMA came positive.     I presented all 3 GIs with the same information as the links youve pisted. Even told them that regardless the outcome of the biopsy I plan on having her gluten-free. All 3 GIs gave me the speech about endoscopy being the gold standard. We originally decided to skip it but after a week decided we didn't want to have her celiac diagnosis dismissed for the rest...

    My husband got tested after being gluten-free for only 10 days and it came back negative. His dr said it was unlikely but possible that 10 days was long enough for it to come back negative so he put him back on gluten to retest him. So if you did want to test them, you would probably be asked to put them back on gluten.

    Has anyone tried the Blue Diamond gluten-free crackers? I just noticed them at the store for the first time. I didn't buy them because the shared facility warning scared me. Anyone have luck with them? They look tasty.

    What irks me is that these same neighborhoods are now full of restaurants serving gluten-free foods in contaminated ways to appeal to people avoiding gluten just to be trendy.     Update: we went to see the original dr today. She's going to do another celiac panel and check her blood for anemia and inflammation to see if they've improved. She repeated that she'd vote for an endoscopy to confirm so we wouldn't have any doubts in the future. We're going to wait and see what her results are but as of now I'm strongly leaning towards...
