  1. Susan, BTW....I thought it was hilarious that your instructer wasnt too impressed with your "art". He obviously doesnt "get" it. It reminded me of when I was taking sewing in high school. I've said it before but I'll say it again....I'm no Susie home-maker....thats for sure. I dont even know why I was in a sewing class to begin with....what I...
  2. Mango, I was just gonna ask you where the heck you got that sleepy face from?? I was wondering how come I dont have him...or the one with all the lovey dovey hearts, or the one that just looks at you blankly....as if to say DUH. I never knew where people got all these emoticons....perhaps there is an emoticon store somewhere that I know nothing about...
  3. That is freakin hilarious!!! I cant believe Celia got "spinached" like that!! Holy heck yourself Susan!! I wasnt aware you were eating OATS. I dont trust them....no way...I tried them and it was not pretty. I dont believe they are safe for everyone....some people still react no matter what they say about the oats being "pure". I'd stop eating them...
  4. I need a bigger punching bag for all my words...
  5. Ahhh...I missed this other half of your post earlier. Thanks Rinne, Sheeesh...I'm thinking the layers have got to be coming to an end sometime soon. How many layers can there possibly be?? Feels like I've been peeling non-stop and I'm never getting to the end. I think if all the layers get peeled and the answer is finally "revealed" to us...
  6. Wow what?? What did I miss?
  7. OMG....I just traveled back to page one for the first time since....well, since I first posted there....whenever that was (yes, I'm very bored right now). Anyways, check this out. This is from my first post: Its histamine!! OMG...I think I might be on to something! ROFLMAO!! Dont tell me we need another intervention...
  8. LMAO....Julie, I was thinking the same thing....I figured I was the only one "not in the know" so I left it alone. You know how it is....I'm the only one who never heard of the people who are like the Amish people but more modernized. I cant even remember what they were called now??? It sarted with an "M"?? WTF...how did I forget this new info so...
  9. LOL.....I dont know if that qualifies as being "abnormal" since half the people I know have this fear. Wow Donna! Why are you SHOUTING at us?? Did you just have a relevation or something?? OMG.....I just only now for the first time noticed that Mango's name is Meredith! Was your name always in your sig? I swear.....
  10. I looked up Aspergers I seriously dont have any of these symptoms
  11. Mango....this is exactly why I dont give up! Its just like you said....it all makes the picture more and more clear with each new discovery! Its exciting in a way. If each new thing discredited the last thing or if each thing were to lead to a dead end it would lead to such frusteration...but the way this keeps heading in the same direction keeps me very...
  12. I read that some bacteria release histamine....even more so after high carbohydrate meals. This contributes greatly to the histamine overload. I already know I have too much bad bacteria and not enough good....this is a common result of gluten intolerance so I'm sure you're right. Its all stemming from years of undiagnosed gluten intolerance. My doctor says...
  13. There are lots of sources online...here are a few I have bookmarked. Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link
  14. Oh...I think red wine would be one of the worst offenders for a person with histamine sensitivity. Anyone experience this? When I first tried out the gluten-free diet I ordered some red wine at a restaraunt since I couldnt have beer. OMG....the reaction was major and it was all over my body. I'll never touch wine again after that!
  15. Robbin, There has to be a root cause for a histamine intolerance. I've read some stuff about the body lacking whats needed to break it down, intestinal fermentation, etc. I think it comes down to something going wrong in the digestive tract. Damage to the intestinal wall, flora imbalance, something of this nature. Something that disrupted the bodies ability...
  16. I'm avoiding all the foods which either contain histamine or trigger the release of histamine. There are alot of foods involved....and also included in things to avoid on a histamine restricted diet are food additives and preservatives. I'm avoiding all of them for a long time anyway cuz I've been aware of reactions to those things but I wasnt aware they...
  17. The goal of my new diet is to reduce histamine in my body...I'm pretty sure I have an overload of histamine which is why I react pretty easily to foods that contain alot of it. I dont think anyone else here has this problem but I'll post some signs and symptoms for anyone who might be interested. Who knows...maybe it will help a "lurker". ...
  18. Yeah...I've had like 5 pints in 4 days now. I only have one pint left in the freezer so gotta go back to the store for more. Pints are kind of small though so I dont feel like I'm overdoing it. I'm small but I've always eaten larger portions than the average person. I'm hoping all this ice cream will put some more weight on me. I still cant believe...
  19. Cissie, I get cotton mouth from MSG too....it sucks. I got it really bad when I ate all those sweet potatoes and yams a few weeks back. Nothing else causes my mouth to get dry like that....except maybe gluten....so when it happens I know its from msg. For me I dont get the cotton mouth unless I've had ALOT and I'm usually pretty sick at that point. It...
  20. I could definately see how the dye could affect someone with Euthyroid Graves. That would be someone who's Graves is not active. Their thyroid has somehow gotten back to normal functioning and is no longer overproducing....then along comes this big rush of iodine that is injected into the blood.....I can totally see how that could trigger the thyroid to go...
  21. Thanks for all this info Rinne. I remember being really scared the first time I had it injected because of how I react to everything. It turned out fine and I guess I got over the fear of it after that. I think I would be really terrified of this info. if I hadnt already been sick before I had the CT scans. I've never gotten any worse after having it...
  22. Rinne, I think its great that you are proactive and not allowing yourself to be bullied into anything. We are in charge of our bodies and you're right, the doctors dont know everything about these tests. I think you need to foolow your instincts and like I said....dont allow them to "make" you do anything you dont feel is right for you. I just wanted...
  23. Robbin, My Enterolab test for casein was negative. I also tested yeast and eggs and those were negative as well. I also had the IgG food intolerance test done (Great Smokies Lab) and out of over 100 foods I tested negative for everything except a very low intolerance to bananas and a handful of spices. My doctor was in disbelief cuz I was really really...
  24. I vote for "I'm a Believer"! That seems perfect for us. LMAO!! OMG...I seriously cant stop laughing tonite!!!
