  1. My son is 21 months old. He has been unofficially diagnosed with Celiac Disease based on symptoms. He has been gluten free for 8 months. The one symptom that has not gone away is constipation. He goes 4-5 days between bm and when he goes it's painful for him. I cannot stand to see him like this anymore. He takes a tsp of miralax everyday. I have tried increasing...
  2. My ds is 18 months old. Every time I take him to my mom's house his symptoms come back. He has bad sleep, loss of appetite, constipation, and tantrums. We are careful when eating there. She has bought him his own foods and dishes. The only thing I can think of is the pets are contaminating him. She has cats and dogs. He does get into the bowls sometimes,...
  3. DS is 18 months and has been gluten free for 4 months now. He is still constipated. His GI said it wasn't the gluten causing it, but can't tell me what is. He takes 1 tsp of Miralax every morning and has a bm everyday. Lately he has been going 4-5 days with no bm, but his other symptoms have been coming back so I think he's getting cross contaminated at my...
  4. I'm new to this, so I don't know much about celiac yet. I do know that gluten can pass into your breastmilk. My son is on a gluten free diet and because I am breastfeeding I have to be gluten free also. I do think that if your son has celiac disease the gluten in your breastmilk could affect him. My son was always very big but started going down on the charts...
  5. My ds has white spots on his top front teeth near the gumline. He just had his first dental checkup and the dentist said it was enamel defects. Those are the only ones I can clearly see. He is 14 months and really fights me looking in his mouth.
  6. Sorry, I meant coconut yogurt. He gets no dairy at all. He broke out in hives and his throat swelled up the one time he had dairy when he was 7 months old. I have given him prune juice. I give him prunes also. He eats tons of fruit and vegetables. I have given him ground flax seeds, probiotics, every kind of fruit and juice, metameucil. He now takes miralax...
  7. Thank you for the fast responses. He does not drink cow's milk. He never has. He had yogurt once and had a bad allergic reaction. He is still breastfed and I have not had any dairy since that reaction when he was around 7 months. He has tested positive for allergies to dairy, eggs, peanuts, strawberries, banana, and yeast. I have tried goat cheese and yogurt...
  8. Hi everyone. I'm pretty new here and would like some advice about my symptoms my son is having. He is 14 months old. He has been constipated since he was 8 months old. Diet changes have not helped. He is on miralax but still only goes about every 7 days. Other symptoms he has are fussiness, clingy, never sleeps, gas, he stopped growing for a few months, stomach...
  9. My son is 14 months old and is currently on a gluten free diet, but has not been diagnosed yet. First I would like to share some background information. Sorry in advance for the long post. He has always been a "high needs" baby. He has never slept much, wants to nurse constantly, is very clingy and fussy. When he was 4 months old he started having bowel...
  10. Thank you frieze. I did figure it out. I think I just needed to take a break and look at it again. It does look like he has DQ2.5 and a DQ4 which the DQA1*0401, DQB1*0402 is associated with. He has been on a gluten free diet for a week now and I already see some improvement!
  11. Hi I am new here and I need some help. My 14 month old has been having problems with constipation since he was 8 months. He had a celiac panel ran but he doesn't produce IgA. We had the HLA testing done and he tested positive for DQ2. I understand that, but I am having trouble with some of the results. It was done throuh Labcorp. Results: DQ2 (DQA1 0...
