  1. Awesome! I will look for those brands and different noodles. Rice is all we have here, but I will look online and see what I can order. The Udi's I bought was white and my family isn't used to white breads. And I was surprised I found it. It was in the freezer sect, on the very top shelf, way at the back. So who knows, it could of been there for 6months...
  2. Does anyone have a recipe that uses all purpose flour?? That's all I have in my house and don't intend on getting into the city before this weekend (thanksgiving)
  3. My older son will be going for surgery in two weeks, so my family will be staying in a hotel for 4 days. What do I do about my middle boy's (4yo) gluten-free diet?? Do I start calling around to restaurants, make and take? It's in a city I've never been to so that adds in a bit of a curve ball.
  4. The spaghetti was Rizopia. It's all I could find. We live in a small town, so selection is limited. Thank you for the pie dough thread. I will definitely check it out!
  5. Hi Nicky! Welcome! I announced help in terms of advice seeing we were just dealt the celiac card less than a week ago. She we are also very new to this whole deal. It however isn't me. My 4yo sons bloodwork came back very positive. We did however opt out of the biopsy and started gluten free immediately. He has other special needs as well and felt the...
  6. Thank you everyone for the warm welcome!! And all the information. This has all been a bit of a curve ball I was not expecting. But I am trying. First to reflect on some of the comments... Digestive enzymes?? Really? What are they and why would they be beneficial?? He's already on a probiotic. Playdough? If the gluten isn't injested, does it really...
  7. That is exactly what I'm going to do. (go on bloodwork after being gluten-free). So, how long do you think it would take for his antibodies to drop? Do you think 3 months is long enough or would they drop sooner/later?
  8. How accurate is the Celiac panel bloodwork? My son's bloodwork is positive. His tTG was 1.5 but the DGP? Is 35.1. The pedestrian doesn't want to send him for a biopsy quite yet. He just turned 4 and has other special needs and he doesn't want to have to put him through the biopsy if he doesn't have to. He put him on the gluten-free diet immediately...
  9. Really?? Shampoo and the cylinder! I never really thought! I'm not overly worried about him rejecting what I make for meals. He is typically pretty easy. Raw fruits and veggies are one of his main foods of choice (texture, he is also has ASD). But cereals and bread are a big deal. It's a must for every breakfast. But I did find chex and rice crispies....
  10. Hi, I am very new to celiac and the gluten free diet. Yesterday I was told by our pedestrian to put my 4yo son on a gluten free diet immediately. He has always had medical issues of one sort or another, which I read may be linked to celiac disease. Example, he has always had funky stools since he was a baby, had GERD, etc. Well yesterday we went in for the...
