  1. Yes I do eat a lot of gluten. I know that has to change. Even if I'm not formally diagnosed with celiac my family is going to go gluten free for at least a few months to see if my symptoms go away and my weight goes down. I have what I believe is DH but my dermatologist dx me with palmoplantar pustular psoriasis but even though they are so very similar. With...
  2. I'm not sure what was going on but yesterday I ended up having some severe confusion about 7 or 8pm. I really think it had everything to do with eating malted milk balls. I'm not yet diagnosed with celiac though. I am definitely calling my GP tomorrow to get an appointment this week for the bloodwork needed to hopefully diagnose me one way or the other. I...
  3. Today I've noticed that I am irritable, very much so. It started this evening probably around 6pm or so. I ate dinner as usual, home cooked chicken breast with Olive Garden Italian dressing on it, green beans from a can and Kraft Mac & Cheese. I have NOT been tested yet for celiac but I am certainly going to do it considering the many other symptoms I...
  4. Online copy of what book where? Is the book way out of date? If so why would it be pinned (here?) anywhere? I'm confused.
  5. I grew up with (and still am affected by) polymorphous light eruption (aka sun poisoning) which is a mass of hives on the sunlight exposed (or UV exposed skin). Mine starts showing up about 5 minutes in the sun if I don't have sunscreen on. The sting is super intense (similar to DH) and it itches like heck!! BUT when you even gently scratch it it hurts so...
  6. I need to get a skin biopsy. I'm going to make an appointment with my dermatologist. I'll call on Monday for one. Hopefully I can get in this coming week. I am really anxious to get this ball rolling. I haven't been diagnosed with celiac yet but I'm starting the process. I have DH (or what *I* think is DH) but is diagnosed as palmoplantar pustular psoriasis...
  7. Any non-dairy milk will not have the same mouthfeel as dairy milk. All the non-dairy milks I've tried are more watery and definitely have less fat which could be the issue you are experiencing. Typically those "milks" have a lot less fat and are less creamy than dairy milk. It's essentially water extracted from the plants/beans/whatever and sold to the consumer...
  8. Hi! My name is Brittany, I am 28 years old and just recently started researching Celiac Disease and how it can affect people. I have come to find out that most of my various health problems can be related to and caused by celiac disease. Here is a list of what ails me currently: bipolar disorder type 2 diabetes neuropathy in legs severe generalized...
  9. Oh ok. I thought the biopsy had to be on the rash. I'll contact my derm to do the biopsy. Thanks
  10. Thank you both for your replies. I know my post was quite long and I appreciate you taking the time to read it. So do I need to go to my GP for the blood antibody test? Or should I simply go to my dermatologist and get a skin biopsy first? I'm trying to avoid going to my GP. He has a god complex and thinks he's always right. He told me I couldn't have celiac...
  11. Hi everyone! I'm starting to put the pieces together in my wide array of medical problems and I think it could very well lead back to one problem: Celiac Disease. I'll try not to make this very long but here goes... As a baby/child I always was super constipated with HUGE poops that hurt so much coming out because they were way too big for my spincter...
  12. I've not been diagnosed yet with Celiac but I have DH (which we always thought was palmplantar pustular psoriasis). I will be getting a skin biopsy and bloodwork to confirm soon. I have to use an organic pure castille soap (I use Dr. Bronner's) which tends not to irritate my skin into blistering more. I also have to use an SLS-free shampoo. I use Aubrey Organics...
