I have AS. It can be difficult to diagnose for some people. HLA-B27 is a genetic test. It doesn't change over time and you cannot become positive. Several genetic markers have been associated with AS. HLA-B27 is by far the most informative. Since most people with AS have HLA-B27. Yet, being positive for that gene alone does not indicate anyone has AS. 7....
