  1. I recently got glutened and now have a break out of DH on my legs. The last time I had DH it was bad but not like this. The affected areas keep leaking fluid. I have lost what I consider to be a lot of fluid. The problem is that it constantly is running down my legs and won't scab over. Has anyone had this problem before and what should i do about it? I don...
  2. I was on the Depo shot in the past and have just recently found out that I have celiac. I think there may be a direct correlation to birth control and the onset of celiac.
  3. I am glad to hear in one sense that I am not the only one who has this but then again it is so bad I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I have been gluten-free for 3 months now and it seems like it has been years, but I still have abdominal distension pretty bad. I thought it would go away faster now that I am exercising, but my legs keep getting smaller and my...
  4. I have the same problem of the stomach bloating, and the swelling in most of my body when I get glutened. The problem is that I have been getting glutened every so often no matter how hard I try to be gluten free. I have wondered if it is also somthing else wrong but as I have read here that I have pretty normal sympotoms for this disease and nothing out...

  6. I cry but out of frustration not because of the food. I am new to this and trying my darndest to be gluten free and things that I would never have thought about having gluten in them do and have made me sick. I got glutened from some tea rescently that put me in bed for a few days and I was unable to work and go to school. So I hear what you are saying about...

    ARCHIVED Shingles?

Besides shingles you might want to consider the possibility of DH. I am not familiar with your situation but I have DH and the bumps that I get on my head do not itch even though they are bothersome. -Morrigan-
  8. This is the reason it took so long for me to be diagnosed. Your story sounds almost exactly like what happened to me. In the last week since I have been gluten-free I have lost five pounds. I am hoping to get back to my regular weight again.
  9. Thanks to all for the help. I guess I felt so very overwelmed and discouraged. I am still trying to get rid of the DH and eat gluten free, go to school and go to work so I think I am a little stressed out. The information has improved my mood and situation emensly. I am sure celiac will be manageable now even though at first it did not seem that way.
  10. I am new and have been gluten-free for only a week. I already feel somewhat better but I also have the same feeling like I haven't eaten in days and it seems like after I eat somthing it only keeps me full for a little while. I also had an extreme drop in energy today where I stayed in bed almost all day and I am wondering if this is also normal. I don't...
  11. I will try and find someone in this area who can help me. Thank you both for replying I am going to continue my search. Another thing is that I am having trouble aclimating my family to the change so it is easier for them if we go out to eat but not really me because I have to have a plain salad and watch the dressing. So I have been looking in here to try...
  12. I am new here and I just found out that I have celiac disease. I had been complaining about having all of these symptoms for a long time but it took me getting another bout of Dermatitis herpetiformis for someone to diagnose me correctly. The problem is that I am in college and have no insurance. The person who diagnosed me was the college nurse practitioner...
