About Me

I got diagnosed with Celiacs Disease back in 2012 & got it confirmed via a endoscopy in 2014.

  1. Honestly, from what you describe, I would say you have ALL of the classical symptoms of Celiacs disease right now. Minus the diarrea but I have constipation and celiac disease so, you don't have to have diarrhea all the time to have celiacs. Everyone is different. I have to agree with Irene Joanne, I don't think you need to do a gluten challenge, specially...
  2. Hey guys, I was informed by my sister in laws friend that Culvers near them serves food that is gluten free, her husband can eat it without any issue. I was hesitant to eat there because I was scared that I would get some sort of cross contamination, but I was actually surprised at how well they understood and made sure to take every precaution necessary...
  3. Boy, this is a really hard question to answer. Being someone who has celiacs and has had it now for a good 3 years, I know how hard it can be. Initially what got me to go to the clinic was my horrible stomach pain. At that time I was eating gluten not even knowing that was what was giving me issues. I was given a blood test to see if I had any antibodies...
  4. Wow, I didn't even know they had specific gluten free bread pans. Cool. Thank you.
  5. Also, what other ingredients would I need, I know yeast and eggs are some of them, but what else would one need?.
  6. Hey guys, I need to change my family over to gluten free bread, so I don't have to deal with so much cross contamination. I have a bread maker, so I will be using that, but I need to know, what flours work best for gluten free bread?. I am looking for these qualities in my bread: Softness texture. Pliable (easy to bend around a hot dog without...
  7. Wow, a lot of information here. I love how you all got off topic because of poop lol! By what you guys say, I know I am 100% lactose intolerant. I can eat cheese and what not, but the milk makes me the sickest. I am going to try different milks like the lactose free one etc. just to see how it reacts to me. Thank you guys for your information. I...
  8. Thank you so much guys. This gives me a peace of mind.
  9. FORGIVE ME IF THIS POST IS IN THE WRONG AREA, PLEASE PLACE IT IN THE RIGHT ONE IF THAT IS POSSIBLE OR TELL ME WHICH ONE IT BELONGS IN. I have had an intolerance to milk for a long time. I can handle cheese (in moderate quantities) but milk seems to bother me. I tried more organic milk in the glass bottles at my local grocery store but it still bothered...
  10. I am in need of a new GI doctor and would like recommendations/suggestions. Thank you.
  11. Good afternoon everyone. It has been a while since the last time I made a message on here. I have a quick question for you guys and was hoping some of you could answer it for me. Back in May of 2014 I had to undergo a gluten challenge and have a biopsy done to confirm Celiacs. It was soon after the result came back that I found out that I have...
  12. Yeah, I found it to be a little strange that this was the only test I got back so far. I don't know if there are more coming or if the Pediatric doctor has no clue what tests to run for Celiacs?. Just for this test alone, does this look abnormal, higher then normal indicating the possibility of Celiacs?. I know you have to have more tests done, but just...
