  1. Hi everyone- I just got the specifics on my blood test- my Antigliadin IgG was borderline positive- but my IgA was within normal range. What does this mean??
  2. I feel the same way about doctors. I have seem about 5 specialists over the course of the summer trying to figure out my problem. After each did their own group of blood tests/MRIs and found nothing wrong, they basically didn't know what to say! From this experience, I have felt like the dr's think I'm crazy and it has been extremely hard these past few...
  3. Hi Claire, I actually did have an MRI of the brain- I have seen every specialist besides the GI!! So, I'm hoping I've arrived at an answer. The neurologist did not seem to think I had a neurological problem- at the time I saw him, however, I did not have as many neurological symtoms yet. But, I'm basically wondering if these symptoms sound like celiac...
  4. Hi- I am new on here, I posted something under another topic, but it seems that some of you may be able to give me some advice. I have been having strange neurological symptoms for a few months now. I have had muscle twitching all over...body jolting that wakes me up when I'm sleeping...sudden (not noticeable to others) involuntary movements all over...
  5. Hello, Does anyone know if vitamins are gluten-free? Or, how to tell if they are? I have been taking a multi vitamin and glucosamine/chondroitin now for a while and I'm wondering if they may have gluten in them. Also- has anyone had headaches with blurry vision or know if this is also a sign of celiac disease? I'm still getting used to the idea that...
  6. Thanks George! That website was very informative- they have tons of articles on the neurological symptoms, as well! I was wondering if anyone knows about alcohol in the gluten-free diet. From my understanding, any distilled alcohol is ok, like rum or vodka...is that true? I'm trying to find out if I can still go out and have a social drink on my gluten...
  7. Thank you both for helping! George- so, on the gluten-free diet, have all of your neurological symptoms gone away? I've been on it now for about 2 weeks and I'm still having twitching, jolting, and strange sensations. Do these symptoms go away as you maintain the gluten-free diet? Also, can anyone tell me what to look for in an ingredient list? What...
  8. Hi Rachel- I am pretty careful, I think. I have been educating myself by researching about what is ok to eat and what is not. I think I'm doing a pretty good job, but there are things that I'm learning as I go. For instance, I was eating a cereal that was "wheat-free" but I then realized that it has oat flour, so it's not gluten-free. Other than that...
  9. Hi. I'm new on here- I'm a 22 yr old grad student- I wanted to see if anyone could help me make sense of my situation. Over the summer I began having knee pain with cracking and stiffness that got so bad that I couldn't walk well. The dr asked tons of questions and found out that I have had a bad stomach for as long as I can remember- nothing terrible,...
