  1. Thanks for the advice. You're correct, I am jumping the gun a bit. The Momma Bear in me gets a little worked up sometimes! I really am trying to see things from his point of view. The whole reason I posted was to see if there were any conflicting websites out there that say the testing isn't accurate, etc. I guess I was thinking about the vaccination...
  2. You hit the nail on the head. I think he just wants to do the opposite of what I want. He didn't want to get either of my kids tested even though it's genetic. This year our PCP closed their practice so we went to his PCP, who originally refused to test because they were asymptomatic. For many reasons, I decided that Dr. wasn't a good fit so I switched and...
  3. I haven't been formally diagnosed yet (endoscopy is May 14) and neither has my 6 yr old daughter. However, my doctor indicates my tests results are fairly conclusive. My daughter tested positive just last week after I forced a switch in pediatricians in order to get her tested. Her father (ex-husband) keeps telling me her TTG IgA test that came back positive...
  4. The appointment today was with my little one's pediatrician. No new information or tests. My biopsy is the 14th, followed by her appt with the specialist on the 22nd. The next few weeks will suck since my daughter doesn't feel well but hopefully we will be close to answers for both of us.
  5. UPDATE: After reading all your responses, I decided to go ahead with the biopsy. That's scheduled for the 14th. It took 6 weeks to get on the Doc's schedule! Ah well... I have a couple more weeks to go until I go gluten-free. Unfortunately, my 6 yr old daughter started complaining of nausea daily, so I had her TTG levels tested and sure enough, they came...
  6. Thanks for all this info! It's a lot to take in, but SO HELPFUL! I'm going to be e-mailing my doc to ask about these addl blood tests right now.
  7. I have never had any GI symptoms that indicate Celiac's. In Mid-Dec 2013 I had extreme itching and bloodwork showed elevated liver enzymes. After many many blood tests with no diagnosis I had a liver biopsy (ordered by a GI Doc). This showed scarring on my liver. I was then referred "up" to a hepatologist because the GI doc was at a complete loss as to what...
  8. Thanks, yes I found that one already. What I'm looking for is one that will help track everything I eat and drink as I begin meeting with my nutritionist. I haven't been diagnosed yet, so it will likely be a gradual change for me.
  9. One of the tools I need is an app to track my diet. LiveStrong/My Daily Pate has been helpful in the past, but the one piece it doesn't track is gluten. Anyone have suggestions?
