  1. Hi greenbeanie ~ I saw a photo of my duodenal bulb. Underneath the photo, it said "normal". I don't know whether he took a biopsy from that area or not but it would good to know. I've made an appointment to talk to him but I can't get in until August 13th! In the meantime, I've found out that he took 4-6 biopsies checking for celiac and a couple from...
  2. My thoughts are with you Wi11ow. Please remember to update here when you get your results. A nurse called today to check on me after the procedures from yesterday. I was able to ascertain from her that my doctor took 4-6 biopsies from my intestines and a few in my stomach area. It makes me feel a bit better knowing that he took more than one in the intestinal...
  3. Wishing you well on the outcome of your results. I will update when I get mine back. Please do the same with yours. I'm interested in hearing about your stomach inflammation. My doc didn't call it 'inflammation' but rather "irritation". Will be interesting to compare notes. Have a great weekend!
  4. Thanks for your replies. I will get the biopsy results next week. The gal in the office said that in the biopsies for stomach irritation, they are usually looking for H. Pylori and if it turns out that I have it, they will prescribe antibiotics. As for the intestinal biopsies, I have no clue whether he took one or several but I'm hoping he took several...
  5. I have just returned home from having an endoscopy & colonoscopy. Last month, I tested positive on the IGA bloodwork but negative on the total count. My doc said there was a bit of confusion surrounding my blood results, so he would take a biopsy today during the endoscopy. Upon coming out of recovery, the notes the nurse read to me said that the...
  6. Thank you, Gottaski, for the answer to my question. Since only part of that test came in positive, is it possible it was just a false-negative? Should I re-take the test?
  7. I am new here & awaiting a colonoscopy/endoscopy May 8th. Was diagnosed 35 years ago with IBS. My TTG IgA was positive but the TTG IgG, Gliadin IgA & Gliadin IgG were negative. I am interested in learning more about the Bio-Card. What can that tell me? How accurate are the results? Thanks for any help you can give.
  8. Hi, I am new here. Please tell me what PCOS is. Thanks! I wish you well on getting the proper tests completed. I am going through this right now myself. It's not fun.
  9. Thank you so much for your informative post. I have downloaded and read the link you provided. Being that this is all new to me, I'm not sure how much I am correctly absorbing but I am trying my best. It appears from the tests you listed that I am missing the EMA IgA and the AGA IgA & AGA IgG. I have an appt. with my GP on April 15th and will ask if she...
  10. Thanks for your post. Since half of my celiac bloodwork came in positive, I'm wondering if it's possible that I'm just developing it? I'm hoping my gastro will do a biopsy while performing the endoscopy. I haven't yet gotten to speak to him but am hoping to for a few moments before they put me under. I have read that a biopsy is the only way to really get...
  11. I am new here today. Have been undergoing a series of xrays, ultrasounds & cystoscopy (trace hematuria) over the past month. Not a lot of fun. I was diagnosed with IBS-D 40 years ago, back when they called it "spastic colon". Over the years, I've developed muscle aches/pains which has loosely been diagnosed as fibromyalgia. I have experienced hematuria...
