About Me

I'm 19 years old Medical student, I have been diagnosed with Celiac disease since i was 2 ,and have spent my entire life on investigating and reading about Celiac disease ,as well as helping other people that have Celiac disease about how they should treat it, how to get use to the Gluten free diet, and many other things.I also got a facebook page where people can contact me if they got any questions that are related with Celiac disease or gluten intolerance. Here's a link to it :https://m.facebook.com/celiacdiseasewrld?ref=bookmark

  1. Hi Jen, about the gluten challenge.. Mostly GI recommend the Gluten challenge so they can see whether you have celiac disease or dont.. The 2 year diet doesnt matter , it takes like 2 weeks to go on the Gluten challenge and if u do have celiac disease, the tests will be positive , i know that the gluten challenge can be unconfortable since i have already...
  2. I think that you should visit gastroenterologist, and about the gluten free diet... Gluten manifests differently at different persons, some of us that have Celiac might eat gluten food for a month and don't manifest a single symptom (im strictly talking about my self), and others can be on a gluten free diet for like 1 year, than eat one slice of bread that...
  3. Rashes might be caused by many things , although I wanted to ask you if u got any other symptoms besides rashes that might indicate Celiac disease?
  4. Dermatitis Herpetiformis, DH, is a painful skin rash that manifests as a direct result of untreated or undiagnosed celiac disease. It is commonly known as “celiac disease of the skin" .It can also manifest below your elbows, but more often it manifests at males than females. So basically I cannot be 100% sure about what i should tell you except that you s...
  5. I didn't quite get any information about your symptoms so if u do have some free time i would rather read them. And about the GI doctors, I'm a second year Medical student, as well a Celiac since I have been 2 years old, a lot of GI experts couldn't diagnose me with Celiac (but that was in the past due Celiac disease wasn't extended), so basically even if...
  6. I wouldn't like to scare you, but as you described the problem with the pain in your joints, those symptoms might also indicate rheumatoid arthritis which is a predisposition for people that have the Celiac gene( i'm not quite sure if you have it or not ). Celiac disease and rheumatoid arthritis have similar symptoms, so if you are gluten sensitive and have...
  7. In my personal opinion i think that going Gluten free it's a healthier way of life.. but most of the people can't imagine having a gluten free life, because if you are somewhere in your mid.age it's going to be a bit difficult for you to get used to it. Doctors also recommend for patients that think they are gluten intolerant to eat atleast 1 or 2 weeks food...
  8. Hello Bridee, I am also a celiac and through my entire life I have read lots of Celiac cases ,but still haven't found a case where a person that has Celiac (whether diagnosed or not ) has vision problems. Vision problems might be caused by many other things and it's necessary to explain every single thing... I should advice you to do the endoscope and blood...
