  1. Hi Linda, I have this problem also. I've been gluten free for several months and still having problems on my right side. My doctor thinks I have additional food allergies which is why it won't calm down. I'm in the process of tracking it down. The discomfort went away while I was only eating potatoes and rice, but since adding other foods back in,...
  2. I also had a reaction to Midel cookies. A single gluten ingestion can take up to 3 weeks to heal, so don't give up. You'll be feeling better soon. For me it takes 3-4 weeks to feel better. Lily
  3. I get a racing pulse if I am eating foods that are contaminated with the things I'm allergic too. Lily
  4. I am doing the same thing as Tarnalberry. As soon as I added processed foods back into my diet, even though they were gluten free, my health took a downturn Lily
  5. Hi Arcy, I decided to go through the agony of all the testing for confirmation of Celiac Disease. Personally for me, I was tired of going to the dr. and telling them I didn't feel well and for them to tell me I was fine. Like I was a hypochondriac. I wanted the diagnosis in my charts so I don't have to go through the whole thing whenever I go to the doctor...
  6. Sara, Your recipe is a Godsend! Thanks. Anyone have ideas how to flavor taco meat? Lily
  7. I get the achiness and tiredness. My joints will inflame something terrible along with muscle aches at times. For me, this is my signal that I've picked up gluten somewhere. After I've accidentally ingested, I'll start the aches a few days later and it will last 2-3 weeks. My doc says these are classic celiac symptoms, because when we ingest that poison...
  8. My night vision is improving since going gluten free Lily
  9. Hi Everyone, Just wanted to let you know there is hope. I have lost 25 pounds since the first of February. I went on a total allergen elimination diet and am beginning to feel better. I too am trying to follow the Eat Right 4 your Blood Type per my nutritionists instructions. I recently had to travel for work and took some processed gluten free foods...
  10. I have bruising problems, both before the diagnosis and even wheat free it's still happening. Lily
  11. Eden Foods makes a Rice/Soy blend that is free of sugar. Soy dream agrees with me, but so far those are the only 2. Lily

    ARCHIVED Feeling Weak

Mario, I've been gluten free for 2 months now and am just getting enough energy to climb the stairs without getting out of breath. My energy is returning in tiny increments, but I am noticing a difference. Hang in there!!!! Lily
  13. I like Crispy Brown Rice by Erewhon. Tastes just like rice krispies, but there is no gluten in them. I eat a bowl of these with soy milk and also 1 banana. I"m not a breakfast person either, but it satisfys me until lunch. Lily
  14. Mystery, Oats give me a terrible stomach ache and any type of tomatoes make me feel like I drank a poison. The acid kills my intestines. I'm hoping once I heal more that I can re-introduce them and just not overdo it. Hope this helps. Lily
  15. My doctor checked with the drug rep at our hospital and they swear Zoloft is gluten free, although I've been scared to try it and it's still sitting unopened. Good luck! Lily
  16. My nutritionist has me eating off of the Blood type diet...........I am type B. Chicken is not allowed, it contains something in it that agglutinates the blood, whatever that means, but it will slow me down and make me feel icky. I do feel better and haven't had any chicken for about 6 months. Chicken and pasta used to be my staples before Celiac........
  17. I sent my letters off too, a big THANK YOU to whoever set it up to make it so easy Lily
  18. Hi Renee, I have had to quit drinking coffee along with everything else and I feel much better. Sorry. Lily
  19. I found a wonderful gluten free cereal by Erewhon called Krispy Brown Rice, tastes just like rice krispies. They make several gluten free cereals. My nutritionist recommends them to all her celiacs with no adverse affects reported. They make a couple cereals that have gluten, so be sure to check the labels. Lily

    ARCHIVED Neuropathy

HI Yankee, I've had problems with my feet and hands (and now my shoulders) for about 15 years. Since being completely gluten free I am feeling much better. Good luck, Lily
  21. Hi Yankee, I am on that type of diet per my nutritionists advice and am starting to feel better. I have been on a very strict diet to start out with, but am gradually adding a few things here and there back in to see how I feel. I highly recommend this to anyone - it helps you detox and break it down to see how it feels to feel better before you add anything...
  22. I haven't found any rice milk except for Rice Dream, which has gluten in it. Eden Foods has a rice blend milk that my nutritionist recommends although I haven't tried it yet. Good luck! Lily
  23. Thanks for the info, can't wait to try it! Lily
  24. Hi Interval, Yes, I have the exact same problems as you. The shortness of breath has been a problem for a while. Celiac disease is an autoimmune disease which can really cause everything else to go haywire. I was assuming when things swell up inside it gives your lungs less room to expand. My nutritionist says my pulmonary readings are all out of whack...
  25. My doctor tells me it takes 3 weeks to heal from a single gluten accident I hope he feels better soon. Blessings, Lily
