  3. I read an article in which someone with celiac disease wrote that she didn't know anyone with celiac disease who was doing well if still eaiting dairy. I haven't yet eliminated dairy from my diet? Can it do damage to your gut if you have celiac disease?
  4. Within 1-2 years after going on a gluten-free diet, how much weight have you gained if you had undiganosed celiac disease with damage done to your intestines? I gained 20 lbs.

  7. My iron level is 40, which was noted as low on my blood test. But it is not that low. My vitamin D level has alos been low, but fight at the border of normal, which I think is 30. I thought most people have vitamin D deficiency?

  9. How long did it take for your hair to start growing back? It's interesting that you mentioned hair loss down your neck. I never wear pony tails because I am missing hair on one side down my neck. I don't know if this is called the hairline at back neck.

  11. I read that scleroderma is common with celiac disease. My ANA test for scleroderma/lupus was positive at 1:80. I read online that some people's doctors ignored this test result number as if it was nothing. Is it something?
  12. A past doctor of mine had celiac disease. She said her liver enzymes were elevated before she went on a gluten-free diet, then they lowered in the normal range.   13. I thought maybe my intestines were healing since i gained about 20 pounds since I have been on a gluten-free diet for 2 years. However, tests show that I have inflammation in my body. Can your intestines still heal or can you gain weight if there is still inflammation in your intestines?

  16. My hair has been very thin in bang area since I was a child (I recall back to 10 years old...not sure if I had it longer). Could this be related to celiac disease? Although I have been on gluten-free diet for 1 1/2 years, the hair is still gone there.
